Dog Soldiers is a great film, I've trying to look for it on dvd but could never find it.

It's out on Blu-Ray if you have a player.

So I don't know how many metal heads are on this site, since I am an old original metal head I picked up the movie "Anvil: The Story of Anvil". I saw them a couple of times back in the day as a support act for several bands and forgot how good they really were and how much they influenced many of the big bands that still are around today.

It was a little sad to see their real lives and them trying to relive the glory days. I recommend this movie to all music fans and musicians who are currently in bands so they can see that for every superstar band like Metallica there are countless others who started paving the way for them only to be left behind. The music business may look glamourous but it is fraught with many broken dreams.

I watched some of The House That Dripped Blood (1970) which is a film with multiple stories in it. It has Christopher Lee in it. And speaking of Christopher Lee, he's now Sir Christopher Lee.

Anyway, the movie is written by Robert Bloch, a talented author of horror fiction.

I watched Steven Spielberg's remake of War of the Worlds.

I really like Spielberg's use of the camera and all his cinematography techniques. I liked the film. I don't know why some people hate this film.

And for some reason, Tom Cruise's character really reminds me of my father lol. Especially in the beginning of the film. It's like they are one and the same person.

I watched Trick 'r Treat last night. This was an amazing horror anthology, the best one since Creepshow and the Twilight Zone Movie. Highly recommended.

Watched two films tonight.

Watched Gamer first, terrible. Premise is that death row inhabitants are controlled by wealthy nerds in real life third person shooter-esque deathmatches. If you've seen The Condemned (Stone Cold Steve Austin & Vinnie Jones) it's basically a cut and paste. Prisoners fighting for their freedom, one breaks out and rages against the corporate machine to be reunited with loved ones. So bad.

Then i watched Adventureland. Brilliant film, starring Michael Sera's stunt double Jesse Eisenberg and Bill Hader amongst others. Boy meets girl, girl is seeing other boy, first boy meets other girl, second girl fucks up original boy and original girl, still manages to deliver a very good story though. A very good watch.

Honourable mentions to Zombieland which i mentioned in the Zombieland thread, and i'm still watching The Goods quite often.

Just watched Deep Impact. Such a great disaster film. I love Disaster films. Mimi Leder did a fantastic job with this movie.

I can't wait till 2012 comes out. That looks fantastic.
