Lets talk about silent hill series here
well,silent hill is my 2nd fav horror game(after RE ofcourse)..it was OK overall IMO..i had some good times playing the series especially SH3...
my favorite game in the series is the first Silent hill.

Even though it is a great series. IMHO I feel it has been on a downhill roll since the birth of SH1. Kinda like the human life... The day your born you start to die. SH1>SH2>SH3>SH4

I totally agree, that series continues to decline. But I would put SH3 over SH2.

SH3 was awesome, SH4 was garbage imo. overall it's a good series.

]Yeah, I'm with this one. God, I loved Silent Hill 3's atmosphere. The graphics were insane, they definately used it's strengths the right way, which is why it was proboably not ported to the X-Box.

Ill give out my opinions in each game except SH2.

Silent Hill 1 : The story was pretty freaky, it all started with a simple car accident and than after Harry walks into a snowy town that seems to be deserted. Than after you discover that the whole entire setting is haunted. The atmosphere was REALLY good for the PS1 and although it rarely uses the same method RE scares its gamers, the atmosphere really immerses you into the experience.

Silent hill 2 : Never played.

Silent Hill 3 : The graphics was probably one of the most beautiful (and disturbing) looking games for the PS2. The story was nice and the atmosphere really felt like the first Silent Hill game (You actually visit some parts of Silent Hill 1). You rarely use your guns but instead use your melee weapons. Overall this became one of my all time favorites for the PS2.

Silent Hill 4 : ...What the heck?! I played this game because I thought Konami would have made a brilliant sequal to Silent Hill 3, but instead the story is dull and boring and was a huge let down to any survival horror gamer. It just makes me think if Konami was really trying..

So yeah, thats my view in the SH series.

I love SH series, one of my fav with RE. My fav SH its SH 1 'cause I remember that I spent a lot of time playing it and I was scared like hell.

In my case I think SH 2 is better than SH 3, maybe 'cause I played it with a friend and my dad wich brings me good memories.

My order would be SH 1-SH 2-SH 4-SH 3

I hope the release SH 5 I can't wait to play another SH game

WOW!! I'm really surprised to see someone put SH4 before any other game in the series. That's Blasphemy .....Kinda like putting any other RE game behind ZERO. I say go back and play SH3, especially if you liked SH1... it ties the stories together, maybe you missed something during your first play through.

I know it ties storys and I don't say it's not a good game I really like it and enjoy it so much but the reason I order it behind SH4 is because I liked the fact that you are closed in a room then the room gets evil and stuff.

I love SH series and all are great.
