I think richard would have been a better replacement.

I like your idea, it would have given the game more dept.

But maybe Billy's importance in the plot wasn't tied to this game, maybe they needed this game to introduce him.

What I'm wondering is, how far into the underground Re2 lab did Enrico go? If he went far enough, he could've found the underground train, or he could've found a file that referred to it as the raccoon lab. Couldn't he have figured out that if he went up, he would end up in the city? And shouldn't there have been umbrella employees in the lab? This was like a month before the outbreak, right?

This brings me back to discussions about why didn't Capcom remake RE2, 3 and CV!

With Zero I would have started afresh, like Yama said, have it end at the mansion and also continue the Rebecca we know from Zero into Rebirth. I really think Capcom had a chance to refresh the series and franchise from the beginning with Zero, too bad they didn't.

They could have even given the more tougher but still rookie Rebecca from Zero some action in Rebirth, instead of her getting there only to turn into a scared mouse. Thats not to say redo like over 50% of the story and what we know as Resident Evil, but incorporate what we have experienced and now know from Zero into Rebirth, and so on. Also, by starting afresh with Zero, plot holes and contradictions could have been fixed.

Anyway, I won't start my "Why didn't they continue on and remake the others?!" rant again. I love the idea's people!

I would love a CV remake, but it's not really necessary, the game is fine as it is.

Yeah graphically, Code Veronica still stands up as a decent looking game, it's more the older PS1 titles that need a slight revamp.

I wholeheartedly agree here, guys. I got both Zero and Rebirth at the same time, played them back to back, and felt that there was definitely a lack of continuity between the two. As Yama said, Zero should have ended with Rebecca entering the mansion. When I first heard about Zero, back when it was being developed for the N64, i figured we were going to get a TRUE prequel. I, like everybody else, would've liked to have seen what happed to the rest of Bravo team from the moment they leave the underground lab to the individual moments where they each meet their fate. Also, Enrico's story definitely should've been explored in more detail. As for Rebecca, she was so out of
character in Rebirth compared to how we knew her in Zero. I mean, the scene where
she's crying to Chris in the reading room was just nonsensical. It would've made sense if she'd shed afew tears for her fallen team-mates, then toughened back up, but if I remember correctly, she completely broke down and said something like "I just can't take this anymore!" Why would Rebecca act this way after surviving the ordeal of RE0?
In Zero, she becomes this hardened survivor who's still alive despite the incredible odds
that were stacked against her; in Rebirth, she's this scared little bitch who seems ready to crack any minute. I really think that the two development teams should've been more in synch with each other regarding these issues.
A save-file at the end of Zero to continue on with in Rebirth(for references, bonus cut-scenes, etc. ) would've been great; awesome idea, Yama.

Yea that is a good idea to have richard in place of billy cause billy hasn't been in other resident evil games to be made a big character
