I would have had Enrico as the male lead character instead of Billy. I remember reading an interview with H. Kobayashi on EGM before the game came out where he said that Billy was crucial to the story. Now that I've played it, I think he must have been joking or lying. Sure, Billy is one of the main characters. So he's important to the story only in that sense. But before I played the game I imagined he had something to do with the outbreak or with Umbrella. . . . Turns out he's just 'in the wrong place, at the wrong time'.

They should have gone with Enrico. It would have been cool to see what other STARS officers were doing while Rebecca was at the Training facility, and I've always wondered how Enrico ended up injured in that cave, where we first see him in RE1.

Great post, I agree completely. Aside from plot holes and various other things, character development wise I would have definately used Enrico too. Personally, I also would have loved to see a basic linking, sometimes it seems too, well... un-original, but I love feeling the stories are not only connected through plot but physically in time too. What I mean by this is when Zero completes, go from there. Play as Rebecca going through the woods to the mansion and make it a linear path even to the save room where she meets Chris. Maybe she can first sit on that bed and collect her thoughts on what happened thus far, then Chris enters. It would make it feel more connected in time, because as it stands there is no mention of any Zero happenings in RE:make (due to release dates) but they could have somehow made that seem sensical when she recollects a bit. In fact, though release dates were seperated, the games were being worked on at the same time, I'm sure they could have made a clear file for Zero to use in RE:make, for items or other references to connect the two even more.

The game itself I can go on about for a while, but it's all things we know of already... flaws, in both gameplay and the story.

Yeah, but that last shot was nicely done. The one where we see the RE1 mansion through a spider web, making it clear that Rebecca's ordeal isn't quite over yet and she's walking into another trap.

You guys pretty covered it.

But I personally would really get into all of bravo team. Throughout the game I would have Rebecca meet up with all the Bravo team members, you know kind of get to know them. Like Yama said I would end the game at the mansion.

At the end cinema I would have a montage showing every Bravo team member right before their death in RE. Like you would see Forest enter the balcony and get eaten by the birds. You would see Kevin explore the dining room before entering the side hall. You see Richard fight the snake. Stuff like that.

Why can't the creators think of stuff like this!? I always wanted to know more about Bravo and how if they survived so easily through the facilities and woods but died from birds, 1 zombie, etc.... Oh and suddenly Rebecca became a wimp hiding in a room!? Very good ideas guys. Too bad you guys weren't the ones making the game, they would have been ten times better!

Honestly, I never liked the idea of a scared-silly Rebecca hiding in a room with a can of MACE in the original game. I didn't think it was aproppriate for a police officer to be that wimpy, even if Rebecca is supposed to be a rookie. So I was glad to see they changed that in the REmake, so when we first see Rebecca, she's in a hallway helping Richard. So the still-rookie but tough Rebecca of RE0 sets up the REmake Rebecca, not the original wimpy one.

I know, I would make the best RE game ever 8) . But in reality its easy for anyone to come up with ideas, its getting them to work in the game that is the hard part and I for one know nothing of game design.

Still these ideas are just storyline ideas, which would be implement, so i don't know what they were thinking. I always assumed that if you did a prestory it would be about the whole Bravo team.

All of us have great ideas here, but I take no credit at all. Sure, I can think of ways to make these games better, any fan could. Now, could I come up with the series itself, from scratch? Heh, as I said... I take no credit. :P

I don't think I would have liked the idea of following the entire Bravo Team. It would have made for a very disjointed game in the end. Rebecca was perfect as the lead because she's the only Bravo member who's uninjured when RE1 begins. And like I said before, had I picked another Bravo officer to play as or at least follow around, I would have picked Enrico. There was some substance to his character. How he found out Umbrella was behind everything, and how he discovered they were set up by a traitor.

Now, Yama says he would have preferred a more connected ending. With Rebecca perhaps following a trail to the mansion right to the very room where she meets up with Chris. Sure, I respect his opinion, but I don't think it was necessary for the game to take you by the hand and end in that very spot. It was obvious she was going to end up in that mansion because Enrico had told her earlier that's where they were going. Now, how Enrico found out about the Spencer mansion is yet another unanswered question, which, again, leads to my wanting to know more about Enrico's adventure.

Well the reason i think that they did'nt go into the mansion at the end and they did'nt show the other members dying was because they did'nt want it to end bad.

And maybe they'll make a game or a video where it shows Rebecca having a flashback while she's next to Richard in the save room. The flashback would be about here making it to the mansion and seeing everyone dye and her losing her gun.

But that's what I think. :)
