And you know it's because I'm busy with the site that you beat me to this! :P

Anyways, of course... getting it first day, Fatal Frame 2 was to me the most solid horror title to date, as far as the scare factor and atmosphere goes.

I played and beat the first and then I played and beat the second one as well and to be honest I was not impressed. I don't know if it's because I've watched to many asian movies of the same kind (ghosts, white face-long haired girls etc.) but I just found it kinda repetitive after a while.

If you want to know what game really scared the bejeezus out of me, I would have to say Clock Tower 3. That game always had me on the edge of my seat. I wish Capcom would make another.

Yeah, I loved CT3. Did you play the original? It was point and click, but still scary as hell.

For all you Fatal Frame fans here is the IGN review, http://ps2.ign.com/articles/663/663863p1.html

It got a 7.8

Closing Comments:

Fatal Frame III: The Tormented is another solid installment in a series that can always be counted on to deliver shocks and scares without the gore of Resident Evil or the peculiarity of Silent Hill. But in a world with Resident Evil 4 and Ties That Bind, its sluggish movement and less responsive controls are becoming harder to forgive with time -- especially when coupled with a heavy amount of backtracking (which The Tormented has) and long moments of build-up between screams. Even so, with a healthy amount of unlockable costumes and goodies, an absolutely stellar presentation, and an initial quest of well over 12 hours long (plus the option to play through again for extra stuff), Fatal Frame III is certainly worth a look.

BBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! It deserves better than a 7.8, why must reviewers always compare it to other games....It should only be judged by its growth within the series. I gurantee if they would have tried to do a new camera angel similar to RE4 they would have caught some major slack for that. I guess there is no pleasing some people.
My game ranking method:
1.) Storyline above all!
2.) Game mechanics. As long as the game is playable without a horrible camera or clunky controls, automatic 10.
3.) Graphics. As long as it doesn't look like an Atari game I'm happy.

Because of RE4 every single "survival horror" game will be rediculed until it is like RE4. I know its stupid but all these people that hate the old control skeme will always complain over and over "why isnt it like RE4?" even though RE4 is a almost a totally different style of game.

As time goes on the old style RE skeme will be phased out of all games. The only place to play the old style might be on portables.
