The games are going to be released as a bundle on Nintendo's hybrid platform sometime in late 2017 as either a collection for $39.99 or individually for $19.99 each. The collection will only include a digital code for the second game, at least in the west.

Capcom also released a launch trailer for the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One versions of the first game. PS4 owners get a dynamic theme with the pre-order. It's still slated for release later this month on the 29th.

Why no physical Rev 2? If you're forced to go half digital with the pack, may as well go full.

Not sure as I would have loved to own physical Switch copies of both. I've seen this happen a few times. Final Fantasy X/X2 on Vita contained a physical copy of X and a PSN download for X2. Far Cry Collection did the same by having 2 and 3 on disc and Blood Dragon as a code you had to redeem and play with the disc inserted which was pretty fucking stupid.

Maybe Rev2 wasn't as successful in the West? I know Capcom had a physical release of the updated DmC but no DMC4 Special Edition disc in the west although it was available in Japan so that might also happen with Rev2 there.

Capcom is broke and can't afford a 32GB card release. It's that simple.

Apparently Famitsu confirmed individual releases over there so you can always import. That's what I'm doing if they release Asian versions (Which is very likely).

https://www.hardcoregamer.com/2017/09/07/resident-evil-revelations-collection-needs-a-lot-of-space-on-switch/270890/

Capcom has updated the official Resident Evil Revelations Switch page to include the storage space required for each game when downloaded digitally. Basically, you’re going to want a microSD card:

Resident Evil Revelations (digital) requires 13GB of HD space
Resident Evil Revelations 2 (digital) requires 26GB of HD space
While it is possible to get around Resident Evil Revelation’s requirement by buying the retail version of the game, there’s no getting around Resident Evil Revelation 2’s space requirement. As the Switch only comes with 32GB of memory (only about 25GB is usable due to the OS), an additional microSD card is quickly becoming a necessity. Downloadable games are becoming bigger and bigger, and the on-board storage just isn’t cutting anymore.

Hmm that reminds me I should really start posting news again. Most of these days I'm posting from phone and it's a major pain in the ass to post news that way. I need to fix my old PC asap.

If you have a PS4, get a USB keyboard and use the built-in Internet app. Or maybe it has to be installed.
