Some pretty controversial calls in the Cubs/Cards game tonight, Agent Wong. Terrible umpiring all around, to be honest. I really hope they add a fifth umpire (in the booth) soon.

Not so much controversial as just outright wrong. Both plays cost them the game. This is the first series the Birds have lost this year thus far, something definitely needs to be done to help the umpires.

I've been saying this forever. With all the time wasted stepping in and out of the box, surely we can free some of it up in order to make correct calls. Knowing balls and strikes are outrageously off is bad enough, at least get calls at the bags and plate correctly.

Thank god we had a turn around today. Lance Lynn is continuing to pitch lights out, Beltran had an RBI double and our reigning WS MVP belts a 2 run dinger. 5-1 win, I'll take it.

Went to the Marlins-Padres game last night. Was a great game. Lots of bats being swung. Miami won it 9-8 in the 12th. I got great seats with a lively crowd. Havent had that much fun at a game since 97. Reyes had some great base running with even a sike out at 3rd making the pitcher balk and have him walk home. Lots of double, triples, homers. Great game. Honestly hope Miami can sweap them the next few games and improve their current 12-14 standing.

Sunday edit: Marlins are killing it right now with a six game winning streak. Super happy to have a team to be proud of again.

Now that's a first big league hit in style.

The home plate ump in tonight's game clearly has walleye. The assholes strike zone is like a mile wide for the Marlins. It's just unreal.

4 deserving members of the Cards made the All Star team this year. Third baseman David Freese is so close to being the fifth as well.

And my guy Giancarlo Stanton steps in as a reserve and will bat in the home run derby!

I've watched his progress this year myself axm. Seems like everytime I turn on Quick Pitch it's a Stanton highlight with a boomski.

Also, Freese is in the Final Voting, so lets hope we can make it 5 Redbirds in the ASG.
