Demo was very fun but WAY too short.

Just played the demo and I just don't really care for it. Graphics remind me of FFXI which isn't a good thing. And the whole story iso beyond a bore. Gameplay is "ok" but nothing I haven't seen and done a thousand times before in other better games.

Games just meh. Surprisingly I had expected it to be better than this and that was with my lack of interest already.

Thankfully my friend plans to buy it so I can still play the re6 demo through him and not waste $60 on this.

I found it quite entertaining, but definitely short. I created some dudes and put them to use in the quest with the griffon boss. Customization options were better than I thought they would be. It was fun using bow-and-arrows and I like the freedom that comes with the control scheme. There was definitely elements of Shadow of the Colossus cause one of my pawns chucked me onto the griffon while it was flying and I was able to maneuver myself around it before attacking to make it fall to the ground.

This screams multiplayer, though.

I just played the demo and I wasn't impressed. The graphics are just okay. I realize this is an open world game with a huge environment and a lot of characters, but you can tell the graphics suffered because of it. Think of Mass Effect's customization graphics of Shepard vs. this game's customization graphics for the main character. Meh.

The gameplay was fun but to easy and monontonous. Tapping the X button repeatedly isn't that exciting.

Characters were also uninteresting.

I'm not really excited for this anymore. Played the demo. While the character customization is pretty neat, the gameplay kinda bores me. Idc about graphics. I'm not one of those ppl who needs top-notch graphics to enjoy a game. Though my friend is getting it and I did him a couple favors last week, so he's giving me his RE6 demo code in return. Yay for me :3

So I'm curious. How many of you bought this game yesterday JUST so you could get the RE6 demo?

I passed, but I did notice that the codes are selling on ebay for quite cheap. $7.50 u.s.d.

I got both versions actually. Pre-ordered 360 version for the demo code, and then my bf decided to buy the PS3 version right then and there(because of free online). Im keeping the 360 version until I can download the demo, then Im going to probably lend it to someone else or sell it.

After watching him play through the game for a bit, I sat down to make my own character and play through the beginning and roam around the village for a bit. If only this game had a dodge/rolling action and the ability to loot bodies, it would be even more fun. In terms of difficulty, if you aren't careful, it's easy to get overwhelmed by groups(like the bandits or the lizardmen for instance). Depends on how you handle your vocation though.

And I wouldn't say combat is "tapping the x button" repeatedly, as you have varying attacks depending on the combination of buttons. With the fighter for example, you have your basic attacks, shield attacks, advanced skills that consume stamina; depending on if you are jumping(or from a height)or grabbing/throwing, there are different attacks. There are items and sub-weapons that change around things a bit as well. So I wouldn't necessarily call it repetitive.

the pawn system on the 360 does not require xbl gold to use. its been mention in dev interviews.

i kept trying to press x to roll and dodge thinking its like monster hunter :P
would be great if strider class has it, or maybe a later skill??
so far only in the beginning of the game. go into my first set of bandits and killed every1 except the warrior type. boy he kills me in like 1 heavy swing or 2-3 light attack...

mentioning about monster hunter, i thought i could be super human and jump of the cliff without a scratch. heh
