I find this shocking and interesting that they have Wesker having a son. It is kind of shame that they didn't introduce him before Wesker's death.


What are your thoughts and theories about this character and what might happen to him in the game?

I think he seems like a pretty cool character. I read on his bio that he was born and raised in Edonia by his mother, so that shows that he in-fact has a mother and isn't some kind of freakish test-tube baby or something. We don't know anything about Albert before he was with Umbrella but didn't he join at age 17 or 18? When would he have gone to Edonia?

SO this means that theyre probably keeping Alex Wesker a secret still. Capcoms just going to drag out the Wesker name as long as possible, just watch.

The controls in 4&5 still felt somewhat tank like, and if they change that one little aspect of it I will be so angry. It made me worry when he said that they are implementing modern action game mechanics into it, kinda discouraging.

To be honest, I found his back-history revealed by the developers, to be a bit bland. I guess I expected something crazy to come out of the circumstances of Albert's son beyond him and his mom being abandoned and him taking up mercenary work to help out money-wise. I still think this whole thing is rather questionable.

Why would they flat out reveal who he was and give out his past(a past so generic, that anyone could have come up with) many months before the game's release? I knew we had assumptions that bird-lady was Jill, but it was never directly stated in any trailer, especially 6 months before release. Im still suspicious about that last name though. Sounds/pronounced too much like Mueller,(like Greg Mueller, who was known for inducing amnesia, and probably planting false memories. That might be a bit far-fetched though to say.).

I do feel Alex Wesker could have been involved in this somehow, but I'm not quite sure. Well, atleast with Jake being hunted down for his blood. If he's immune to the C-virus, and Sherry's agency thinks that he could be a cure, I'm sure whoever developed the C-virus, wants to capture Jake first. But that's another thing I question. Here's a kid who had no idea who Wesker was, does not even carry his last name, and Albert was such a secretive guy, that no one in Edonia probably even knew he was there or who he shagged.

So how does Sherry's agency even know who he is? Did Jake's mother call up someone connected to the government and ask them to find her missing son? I mean, the fact that he took up mercenary work, means he was trying to keep under the radar for a reason. Who knows if his mother really knew who Wesker was by the time he left. Wesker would have had to have Jake around the early 80's, before he injected himself. Wesker didn't have any super-human strength before that injection. And speaking of that, if Jake was born in Edonia(or did he and his mother escape the U.S. to Edonia?), when did Wesker find time away from what he was engaged in Raccoon City to go to an Eastern European country?

I apologize if I'm not being accepting of the current circumstances involving Jake, but as an old Biohazard fan, I've learned not to take things literally as they are being shown. I hope you can debate with me on my doubts.

Sherry probably don't know Jake is Wesker's son. She and her organization just know he is immune to C-virus and that's why they want him. Albert probably just fucked jake's mother and then never seen her again. And finally because he is Albert's son his blood is highly adaptable with viruses. C-virus is probably, in some way, similiar to experimental virus given to Albert by Birkin (as a part of the Wesker's Children project).

Wesker doesn't need to have traveled to Edonia. The mother could be american obviously and have moved there on her own for whatever reasons with her son. And wesker not having super human strength yet doesn't mean much. Wesker was still part of the Wesker children program, so his son would inherit impressionable traits as well. We don't know anything about his mother either, she could have been of high breeding as well and the two of them could have been brought together for the wesker children program purpose.

There's also no way of knowing if he's been monitored by anyone since his birth, if anyone knew about him, or if he was injected with anything himself etc.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure Muller's superhuman abilities come from the C-Virus, by the way. The anti-government guerrilla army he is hired by in the Edonia Republic was given a "nutritious supplement/drug/medicine" with the C-Virus mixed in. They all mutated, he just became superhuman.

How the DSO know about him is unknown, though it's hinted that Sherry is working for someone else in the U.S. Government who has more nefarious motives.

Ah, I missed that important detail actually. That explains the advanced physical capability if nothing else.
Do we have any clue as to why he's a part of an anti-government group, btw? Just curious.

I hate Wesker with a passion.
Not only does he not die in RE, hes just annoying as hell. (blame mvc3)

So already, I'm not a Jake fan. I have hope that he turns out to be a foil of his father though... That'd be interesting.
