IGN has posted a hands-on impression of the playable demo that was available at Captivate. They detail some story elements from the early part of the game, so be wary of some spoilers. The New Wesker's name is also officially revealed to be Jake Mueller. You can check out the full write up here.

I LOVE what I read there. Horror is back baby!

I think my brain is going to fizzle out soon from information overload.
I clamored for it badly, and now it feels like I'm biting off more than I can chew.

Love it, the controls sound awesome. I just hope you still 'pull out' your gun like in RE5 but you need to be limited on how many guns you can use, it would be more realistic. Like a hand gun, and two primaries(Shot gun, machine gun, whatever rocket launcher they have, or a rifle).

You can choose which character to play as at the start, so you can play each story in any order. Like RE1 and RE2. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have learned to be sceptical and to keep expectations in check when it comes to "first look" previews like this - but there's no denying it reads very well.

Come on Stu, not even a "holy fucking bollocks" from you. Wow, your senses have been murdered by years of skeptical gaming. BLAH!!!

Love the choose your character ability again. Next thing you know, bell bottoms will be cool again...

As much as I enjoy this, I hope there is an unlocked fourth and final scenario to conclude the game in a single way. Perhaps each scenario plays up until a point where all of the main characters come together, then the final scenario (could even be a final mission or boss fight only) plays out accordingly.

Assume it has to happen like this as Leon meets up with Chris after his scenario. I see it as you play as all three, then the final missions in China open up and at that point the game takes over and chooses for you.
