Never had the experience myself, heck I hardly played the games. I'd really like to see this get some love, at least port the games to the Triple and update them so they are able to play like they used to. I'm no software wiz, but that doesn't sound like it would cost that much. But, on the flip side, seeing how much content we are getting this year, I understand why there hasn't been any effort put forth towards them. Maybe next year?

anyway I am sure Yama is joking, but, makes you wonder though how good that game must of been online for people to miss so much. Damn I miss playing online so much I kinda wish I never played outbreak games in the first place Ha!

Can't even discuss that awesomely nostalgic OST that Yama posted because it makes me instantly remember that both games are unplayable online, ah curse you Yama.

Easily my favorite online games ever. Both games are just so carefully crafted to deliver an amazing online experience. The atmosphere created in an online classic Resident Evil is simply unmatched. No other game puts you in the kind of situations that Outbreak did. There was a certain obligation to stay alive for the sake of your partners, and fight your way through solo segments in order to meet up once again. Exploring the huge university in "Decisions, Decisions" and knowing that somewhere out there your partners are fighting to stay alive and meet up with you again creates such a feeling of loneliness that no other game has made me feel. Don't even get me started on the incredibly intense survival scenario created by Very Hard mode. One of the most amazing things Outbreak did, which is very often overlooked, is the extreme stakes involved in playing online. There is no respawn, and you could very well play End of the Road for an hour and a half only to end up dying and leaving your partners that much more helpless. The extreme difficulty combined with the high-stakes permanent death factor, created a survival scenario more intense than any other game can come close to.

I can't believe I missed this topic. Hearing this music... makes me really miss playing online. Nostalgia...

This is beautiful. I never got a chance to play the two games online myself, so I never had that awesome experience a lot of people seem to miss nor did I ever hear this. Instead I had to play through both games with the AI, hoping they didn't get themselves killed in areas without me. This ost though makes me wish they'd port the games to Xbox Live/PSN just so I could experience what apparently made this game so great. Hopefully one day...

I never got a chance to play online as well, but I had wished they added local co-op, so that I could enjoy Outbreak with my partner or a close friend. If ever in the future they finally listen to the Outbreak community and make a 3rd game of sorts, they should add this functionality as well.

I do miss playing them though, being able to go through the varying scenarios(often with Kevin, Alyssa and Yoko, since they were my faves). But I'd abandon it alot because I hated the AI.

So much this. Was split screen really so hard to implement?

Oh well. In my opinion the games are on par with the original titles single player (with AI turned off), you just have to get used to have 4 inventory slots. But damn...I'd pay a thousand dollars to get these games online again.
