I was actually quite confused when I found out they allowed that in game especially when they came out with this artical in 2010:

But apparently it's because they have at least one writer who is a fan of slashfic on the team.

Haha, I certainly didn't complain. If Im making my own char and making his backstory and personality, I should be able to make him fall in love with who I want as well.

I always play human in games where you can customize your own char. I like a char that reflects me. And I've never seen myself as some other race so.

Oh man, and just when I thought that I couldn't find a character I liked more than my Asari Vanguard.... KROGAN BATTLEMASTER VANGUARD!

The Asari Justicar Adept looks cool too. Heck, I'd check out the Batarian Sentinel too.

By the by, does anyone else here play X-box multiplayer? if so, would anyone be interested in hooking up and blasting through some rounds at some point?
