Yeah I doubt he looks anything like Albert. They aren't actually related in any way. They just have the same surname. A bunch of people are running around thinking Albert and Alex are brothers.

Mind you, if you were Alex would you really want to look like the man who threatened the world with destruction? You would want to distance yourself as much as possible from Albert.

I think the new character theory holds a great deal of merit, however it is also entirely possible that it is Alex Wesker. He could have gotten plastic surgery to make himself look younger.

Bad photoshop aside, you have to admit, he bares a resemblance to Wesker. And I think that was kinda the idea. We've already seen him use Wesker's moves and all so it's obvious he has some kind of connection to Wesker whether it's a direct connection to Albert or whether it's one of the wesker children such as Alex.

I think it was kinda the idea behind his design to give him a vague similiarity to Wesker so you can see Wesker in him and see Wesker's moves all to reference wesker while he still looks and acts like his own unique person at the same time. That way he is indeed a new character with his own story and isn't supposed to be some wesker Clone or anything, but, the hints to his relation to Wesker/Wesker Children are subtlety there.

Given what "normal" human beings are capable of in this series, I'm not entirely sure his seemingly melee-focused gameplay should be taken as an indication that he has superhuman abilities ala Wesker.

Aside from the fact that we've never heard of Wesker having any siblings, the "Wesker Children" weren't family for gods sake's, they were specifically chosen children of affluent families etc. to be part of the project. So saying he might bare a resemblance to Albert has no bearing on him being or not being Alex Wesker.

I was referring not to simple melee focus but the fact he actually uses Wesker's melee's from RE5. You can see him doing it in the trailer, he even uses the elbow dash thrust that Wesker does in both Mercs and in the cut scene against Sheva when Jill is revealed.




If you're replying to me, I wasn't referring to him having any relation blood wise specifically to Wesker. I included the relation to Albert as a possibility incase they wish to go that route but, I was mostly focusing on from a design standpoint how they made him vaguely resemble Wesker not to show blood relation, but, simply to hint at his 'relation' to Wesker in general. IE they're making a huge deal about keeping his identity a secret right now, but they also made it a note to show him using Wesker's melee's and he does bare a resemblance to Wesker in a subtle fashion. Again, that's from a design standpoint to allow fans to make the connection on their own.

His vague resemblance to Wesker likely has little to do with any actual blood connection or the fact he's one of the Wesker Children. Again, solely from a design standpoint. He looks completely unique on his own, the vague resemblance is there solely to help tie him to Wesker in general. Sorta like as if the new guy looked like Barry's kid or something, it wouldn't go over as well if you tried to say he was the next Wesker ala Alex Wesker or something. But, when you design him with Albert's design in mind but give him his own unique look, it helps sell it better. Because he gives that sense of familiarity while still being unique.
