FIGS = French, Italian, German and Spanish, and J of course means Japanese.

First it was Revelations, but now Operation Raccoon City too is to be dubbed in multiple languages. Biohazard 6 should follow as well, although nothing has been announced.

What do you guys think? Personally, having Japanese VA makes it easier to track the dialogue in that game, so I'm definitely for it. Also mixes things up in terms of replays.

Japanese is definitely a plus.

Everything else will be just as badly done as the English one, if not translated directly from the English one.

From a proper translation standpoint, it helps decipher meaning easier. From a viewer standpoint, I'm used to the games original cheesy English dialogue and have learned to love it.

What? What is this?

Biohazard will now be in multiple languages? Now the international fanbase can feel the whole story in their native tongue even though I'll always have the English track on. Degeneration had multi-language options but that was just a movie.

Interesting. I've always loved playing around with different language dubs. Keeps things different, fresh.

Badly done? Please tell me you're speaking entirely from a 'translation' perspective and not an acting standpoint. I'd hate to think you're one of those who thinks Japanese voice overs are the only way to go simply because they're japanese and that English voice overs are always terrible because they're not japanese...........

Purely translation, the actual voice work itself in the series is alright in my opinion. Would be 10x better if they ever had a decent fucking translated script to work with.
