I wouldn't imagine it's all about the canon though.

They use it, they take stuff from it and then they build from there. Though the game in and of itself is not canon, more like a what if scenario. At least this is what I think, I don't think (read: hope) Capcom would be stupid enough to change the canon of a 14 year old game.

To me this game is all about the online aspect, the story is just there to give them an excuse to release it without it being RE2 with a new face.

I haven't watched it yet but I have skipped through it and it just doesn't feel like Resident Evil to me. I might still get it though to give it a chance first hand.

Hunk states the UBCS are a 'detachment' of the main UBCS, which is similiar to what I suggested earlier about them and explaining how they might not 'officially' be there until later.

Even still, the whole 'birkin's trying to sell to the u.s. government' thing is pretty dumb and out of place. Unless he did that just to get the u.s. government to defend him from umbrella and planned to give them a fake sample. Plausible, but, still pretty dumb overall.

Either way, it's not canon so who cares.

Gameplay wise it looked fine, basically what was expected from the game. The two biggest problems were 1) The AI is atrocious, but, considering the main point of the game is multiplayer I don't entirely care as much. But, still, it is is terrible and will make single player kinda meh. 2) The person playing in that video was just absolutely terrible at the game even for a newbie.It was almost funny watching him take hits from infected enemies while he just kinda watched them do it.

Meh, glad I want this for co-op and MP.

Huh, not liking the retarded AI and jittery animations.
