I need to join a party with everyone asap, I've been away from my xbox for way too long. My summer vacations just started today, though! ;)

I got a problem... *Dramatic music* ... I can't find my XBL headset. Oh noes! *Panics*

Anyway I wanted to ask about something... My 360 has been acting a tad fishy lately.. Sometimes while I play Assassin's creed it has small lagspikes, like just for the briefest moment either visual lag or the music stops for a sec. I'm scared that it might be the start of it breaking... Has anyone ever had this? Could it be the sign of a start of RROD? Or does RROD just happen? It's one of the newer black 360s and I heard those aren't as sensitive, still... Shit, shit shit, can't afford to have it breaking atm.

I know I need to try another game in order to see if it lags too... And I will. Just terrified to try, and figured I'd ask if anyone knows if this is just the CD or the start of a painful, agonizing Xbox death.
And yes I tried dusting off the CD and the xbox, although I suppose there could be dust inside.

Edit: I wouldn't say that the less than a sec lagspikes ruin the gaming experience, and they don't happen often either, still it's very unpleasant and aggrivating.

Does it happen when you're playing online Eow? Or does it happen offline. If it's online then that may be the cause right there. If it happens offline too, it could just be the game itself. Best thing to do is to try another game and see what happens.

And RROD has nothing to do with stuff like that. RROD is when the metal clamp on the inside overheats and basically warps because of the heat and the 360 can no longer manage the heat and becomes unplayable, then it'll flash the 3 red rings. Usually you'll see your screen having issues prior as a warning sign. Like you'll see a green screen or textures will all fuck up etc., game will outright freeze or crash on you repeatedly etc. That's a warning sign to RROD. I've had it happen to my 360 back in 2009 shortly before RE5 was released. Sent it into MS and they fixed it for free thankfully. But, yeah.

If you only get 2 Red lights though it's nothing to worry about as the xbox just overheated on it's own due to poor ventilation. Simply put it in a better area for better ventilation or put a fan over it and turn it back on and it'll be fine.

Alright. Yeah, I know what RROD is, I just didn't know if it might be a prelude to it. But I doubt it's an overheating issue... Even if it is, Unfortunately I can't do anything about it right now. When I move into my new place and get a better shelf I can put my consoles on then I'll be dandy.

And nah, it happens offline. I'm about to fire up RE5 actually, online, to see how it runs. Pray for me. I don't want my baby to leave me. *Cradles 360*

Nah thanks, kinda occupied atm, besides let's play sometimes when we both aren't stressed and don't have to rush off somewhere. Unless you're one of those types who always has work, lol.
