The second Dysley fight in Fang/Vanille's hometown. It's not that I can't beat him. I can last the entire match against him and get him down to like 10% health but then he casts Doom on me. So I need to go back and level more to be stronger so I can actually kill him in a shorter amount of time before he casts Doom. But, I just can't be bothered to backtrack and do it. I only cared about the game for the story, the battles were just WAY too grindy and long. It got so tedious and boring.

Not that the battle system isn't interesting, it's just that enemies have ridiculous amounts of HP so it's less about strategy and more about endurance which is what makes it so boring. Spending 30-45 minutes on a boss only to die and have to redo that entire thing all over again is not fun, just tedious. And even if you win, spending 30-45 minutes on almost every boss while you just keep recycling the same strategy over and over and over the entire round just waiting on his hp to finally die off. And most stuff is so specific on what builds you need to be running that it comes down to simply memorizing Doom's BnB foot dive into stomp relaunch and doing it for 30-45 minutes straight until your opponents hp finally dies. That's exactly what it feels like. There's no variation, no excitement, no real fun. Just you sitting there pressing the same buttons in the same order at the same time intervals repeatedly for 30-45 minutes a piece until you win. Meh
