I heard it's out this month. Anybody interested in seeing the namesake prequel to the 1982 movie?

I saw it in theaters on opening night. It was a lot better than I expected and I thoroughly enjoyed it and even got a little scared. By the way, the original movie isn't the 1982 movie, but instead the 1951 "The Thing from Another World," just a little trivia for you.

The 1951 movie was the first (very lenient) adaption of the novel but the 1982 one is a 'true' adaption of the novel, and is what the prequel is a prequel of.

I may not be back for long, but I'm wondering why I still have the 24 hr speed run status under my name.

Anyway, I actually bought the Prima guide for The Thing video game. I've had that game in my collection for years now but never bothered to play it. So I figured now you'd be a good time as ever.

There's a The Thing video game?

I remember playing several "The Thing" custom multiplayer UMS StarCraft: Brood War maps back in the day, that was always fun, especially "The Thing Ice." I remember I would love to be the thing and then get people to trust me, then of course I would kill them or trick them into giving me some dynamite so I could blow up their communications array and stuff like that. It was awesome.

Yeah, the game was released by Konami in or around 2002. It is on PC, Xbox or PS2...

I was thinking of playing it this weekend... I was only intending to play it cos of the two Thing films.
