The beta version is a one player game with zombies, and merchants u can steal from, and i saw there was supposed to be a level where you fight a bunch of el gigante this stayed on the track of resident evil 4 and old resident evil but had the horror factor raised higher than the new resident evil 5 this would have been the best resident evil 5 ever. i just dont understand why they jumped off track and made this boring one time playing shooter.

These ideas you mention didn't even make it into the beta version (which was pretty much similar to the released version but it was single player, used the Unreal 3 engine for testing, and had a different Shanty Town). They were concibed during the early development days, but either the hardware or engine didn't make them possible to implement or they wanted to favour other ideas (probably the team wanted to go the safe route after Mikami's departure from Capcom).

But as with every main RE game, various scrapped ideas make it to future titles eventually. For example, there was a concept art of RE5 showing Chris swimming, now Revelations will include this new gameplay mechanic.

I was just looking on some site last night bored out of my mind just looking up beta verions of every game i own and i saw concept arts and read a bunch of articles on different searchs of this stuff but thank you for shedding light on this and can you help me figure out how i raise this red bar thats under my username everyone elses is raised so hi i just dont understand it

The bar raises depending on your post count and time spent in the forums (there's also special bars for moderators and donors). Now, this doesn't mean that you will post for the sake posting or making threads for no reason other than to make this bar raise.

We want quality posting, number of posts doesn't matter at all.

The resident evil series is a plethora of scrapped ideas. bring up resident evil 1.5 around here and people would go into an uproar. the game was a completely drastic change in storyline compared to what finally became RE2. RE1.5 was a pioneer for alot of mechanics we wouldnt see till RE4 or REbirth at the earliest.

RE 1.5 had:

Grenades
Body Armor
Proper Gun posing while walking
torn/bloody clothes afer getting attacked(Yet to be implemented but has been attempted in other titles)
A realistic police station. (Ironic consisidering the newer mansion like station goes agaist their effort to make the game as different from RE1 as possible. )

If capcom let that story through it would have most likely ended the series sooner.

Holding a gun upwards is regarded as being risky and unprofessional, they are meant to be held down (which Elza does, but Leon doesn't). Which is why most firearms experts cry bitter tears when they see James Bond movie posters or portrayals of the crap in media.

Grenades and body armor were removed to make the game more "survival horror" and less "running around looking for health boosters and explosives."

A bit off topic, but the outbreak beta was the final game. >_> They literally changed almost nothing about it, just didn't use a couple areas/bosses.

Network Biohazard had many different scenarios, characters and even a different visual filter.
