My fastest time on REmake was 4 hrs 8 minutes.

4hrs 4 minutes for me.

Mine was somewhere along 3 hours, gonna be doing another run soon.

Doing the Director's cut playthrough atm, going to get to the REmake after I finish these. So we'll see.

My best run was under 4 hours I think, but I haven't played the game much, despite it being a masterpiece.

My best (in my opinion, not necessarily my fastest) was 1:59:56 on Invisible Enemy/Normal as Jill, I've had sub 2:00 times on Hard and stuff but I've not put a lot of thought into a speedrun as such. I recently did a knife only run as Jill on Hard and managed to finish in the region of 2:20 (best ending) which I was pleased with.

I've only ever played through Chris's scenario once so I can't say I remember what time I got for him, I don't know his route as well either. Something to do at a later date I guess. It is nice how this game doesn't punish you with rankings or anything since, well there are none. Though there are endings which affect time, longer if you go for the best ending and shorter if you go for the worst.

One thing I do find amusing is that Barry's Magnum can one shot the Tyrant, even on Hard, yet it takes him three shots to down that initial zombie and not even kill it (I know I've said this on the forums before, but it's still insane). In terms of speedrunning though, the Magnum definitely helps out on a worst ending run.

I will now be weighing Barry's life against an easy Tyrant kill next time I go through the game...hmm lol.

And as far as speed runs go, I started one once but never followed through with it..I always get caught up in the story and save people. =P

Don't understand why people would want to speed run this beautiful game. I generally dislike speed runs, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think the fastest i've done this game with Chris is 3 hours 23 minutes. I usually don't play as Jill but I think I did hers in 3 hours 15 minutes. I believe these were all with the best endings too. My times might be a bit inaccurate so don't go crazy if they seem off.

Personally, I absolutely stink at speed running the first Resident Evil. No matter how many times I play it, I find myself getting lost. The layout of the mansion is an ingenuous puzzle in and of itself.

Not to mention, whenever I play as Chris, I have to constantly make trips to the item box, due to his lack of inventory space. My last playthrough as Chris was just under 4 hours.

However, I just played through RE2 on Claire A and had a time of 3 hours 2 mins, with 3 saves, 0 deaths.. A rank. I'm a hell of alot better at getting through that game.

I don't get into all that speed run stuff. I managed to finish the game in just under 5 hours, or whatever it took to get the Samurai Edge. Doesn't really make the game more fun by speeding through it IMO.

I only did a speed run of this game to get the rocket launcher and the burst handgun. I generally don't like speedruns, as they tend to kill the atmosphere of the game. I wish the classic RE games would have statistics screens (like RE5 and the Outbreaks) to record your best times, enemies killed, etc. With this game, I think I finished with Jill in about 2.5 hours, but I'm not really sure.
