RE5 files make it clear it wasnt him.

I mentioned this on a couple other forums, but I think Revelations might tie into Lost in Nightmares and Alex Wesker. I was playing LiN a little while ago and re-reading the files, and I thought, what if the mysterious island we apparently will visit in Revelations and the island where Alex was stationed are one and the same?

Alex's mysterious and sudden disappearance could be the result of Chris and Jill discovering his research facility and putting an end to him and his plans. The "reliable source" that tipped off Chris and Jill to Spencer's location could very well be Alex himself, or someone or something (a file, perhaps?) they find on the island.

Yeah I used to think that but well... we have Veltro now.

It was rather odd how Chris and Jill didn't bat an eyelid at the mention of someone with the same surname as their nemesis.

Because they only know him as Alex, not Alex Wesker. Chris doesn't find out about Project W until the file he reads on the bridge at the climax of RE5. The test subject file on Spencer's computer is too vague to make the connection at that stage I feel.

Ah, that's true.

Damn the possibilities are endless.

YES! Its all coming together, I feel it. But as soon as this gets cleared up about the Organization and Alex Wesker, new questions will be left unanswered for us. REREV, RE6, and RE Damnation, seems like they might somehow present a new sub-plot/struggle for the characters now that Weskers out of the way.

Which is good, personally I don't want this series to end anytime soon.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Capcom completely ignored the Alex Wesker plot and never mentioned it again. I'll be happy if they prove me wrong, but, somehow I feel Capcom would easily just forget they even mentioned it and never bring it up again.

They've already done it before. They brought up Sherry being important in Wesker's Report, then, never mentioned it again and never went anywhere at all with it.

They mentioned The Organization and they also have Ada and her 'game' with Wesker, yet, never got anywhere at all with that either and never bring it up again as well.

Capcom is a sucker for introducing interesting ideas and plot lines and then totally forgetting they exist and letting them go unresolved or unexplored. Which is mostly due to having SO many different writers for the series over the course of all the games. So you get each new guy coming in and knowing the basics of the old storylines and creating their own stuff for the next game, but, having no knowledge of the 'little' details like the above stuff, and thus never ever exploring or resolving them.

So again, would not be surprised in the slightest if Alex Wesker becomes just yet another random mention that never goes anywhere.

But, again, prove me wrong Capcom. I'd be thrilled if they took the time to actually follow-up for once.
