makin new maps may not be eazy but deff they can do it just look at world at war or call of duty mw1 they got maps galore im sure there are more out there not to mention it took a got dang yr for them to come out with lin an de an yes it is lazyness shoot charge 9.99 for a few maps an costumes if its money i pay 9.99 for each zombie map on world at war and they come with 3 more reg maps also so they can do it just if they want to ...

Well yeah of course they can do them. Point is, this is most likely not the final DLC we'll ever get for RE5, so we will potentially get them in the near future (if the current packs sell well). Keep in mind developers have to take into consideration if what they are giving will work or not sales wise, and it wouldn't have been sensible if they added tons of stuff considering there's always the possibility for these to fail.

However, given the positive response so far, I have no doubt we may very well see new maps and other new extras in the near future. That's how business usually work, testing the waters and keeping/not doing some stuff for later. It's been always like that, just now that we are MUCH closer to the developers through the internet, we can actually make an impact in their decisions.

The only reason I would not like for them to add more DLC is if it delays production of RE6. If they can work on both at the same time then by all means give us more DLC! I'd hate to wait like some five years for the next game because they were to busy creating new mercs maps for Re5.

I think the sewer area would be a good place for a Mercs map. It is kinda of a small area, like the walkways are narrow and there is not a lot of open space. I think this would add a good twist to the game. Especially since on some levels you have to wait for the Majini to spawn and waste time. In this map you could very easly run into some crowd controls issues, which I belive would be fun and different.

I of course don't speak for Capcom and...they could also be misleading us, but the last we heard they hadn't even picked who would be developing it, and that they were looking for a 4-8 year range for it...which could even possibly mean a PS4/720 release in the latter half of that time period.

Personally, I think its grande if they expand the shelf life of this game as much as possible, seeing the minimum amount is still a long ways away, any extras is awesome and goes a long way

HOLY CRUD! Eight years? I can't wait that long. If that is the case, then by all means keep giving us more DLC!

I fully doubt that is the true number, although they did say that im doubtful, but id say 4 years is being pretty optimistic, seeing as it took them almost 5 i believe to make Re5. What I wonder is If there will be a change in hardware by that time, but i personally think the ps3 will still be the playstation console by then.

RE5 took them 3 years more or less, the 2005 teaser was just a CGI tech demo.

I believe they had been IN Africa before that time though, which you could count as time spent in making the game

It strikes me people say X or Y thing is "so easy" to do but they never worked making video games.

As for wanting new maps, hell yes. Desperate Escape map would be great, or even some other area from the main game (Oil Refinery, Port). I'm not sure if LiN would work though.

Why not? The sewer section is big enough, I can clearly picture time bonuses and combos being in the chests where the cranks were. It seems perfect for a mercs map.

yes you have all reason, the masion spencer is big and the boss is the creature, but when he catch you, you are dead lol
