I'm definatly getting excited for DE, decided to wait until gold came out before playing, sounds like it'll be an absolute blast.

Thats a good question, and its not like we don't know the end result. SPOILER ALERT: JOSH AND JILL SHOW UP AT THE END OF RE5 IN A HELICOPTER. OMG GROUNDBREAKING!

Yeah but both Jill and Claire grew to like Carlos/Steve and care about them throughout the course of the game and respect them. Claire was obviously hurt when Steve died and when Wesker took his body and threatened to use him against her.

Jill didn't trust Carlos at first and found him arrogant with his come-on's but she grew to trust and respect him greatly throughout the course of the game. And Carlos definately proved himself as a loyal, honorable, and caring individual. I highly doubt Jill has any problem with him at all and would be proud to call him her friend.

Remember, Carlos went out of his way to save Jill's life and cure her of the T-Virus infection. He didn't have to. But, he risked his life for her and even held off Nemesis from killing her as well. She owes him her life. For that alone she would feel a lot of trust and respect towards him.

I miss Carlos. They should bring him back :/

DE certainly gave me a Separate Ways vibe, which isn't a bad thing. I managed to get the 150 enemy trophy on my first playthrough on Normal, which wasn't bad at all since Josh's AI was surprisingly decent.
