After I finished re5 for the first time, I didn't started again on chapter 1-1 but played all the chapters one by one. mostly on veteran and with all my stuff from past games. my goals were to get S-rank in every chapter, collect money to upgrade weapons, finding the bsaa-medals and such things. now I'm playing the pro-mode and I'm thinking what should i take with me. even on pro-mode the first chapters are quite easy with fully upgraded weapons, infinite ammo and herbs.
of course, in a real rerun I should start with nothing but all my stuff is still there and the equipment I'll find in the rerun will inevitable mix with the old stuff and money when I put something in the itembox (that thing between the chapters). and I don't want to delete all of it.

In my opinion, capcom should have handled that issue like in re4, where you can choose to start a new clean game or take your stuff with you.
additionally the ability to select the chapters directly takes away the gratification of really completing the game once again.

What do you think about all this?

My loadout now is the maxed out S&WM500, the maxed out hydra, and the infinite rocket launcher. All the proof i need really to tell me RE5 is still a ton of fun at times even with maxed out infinites.

I bring my S&W M500 as an all-around kick-ass gun. A shotgun just in case there are many enemies close up, fast approaching. And a sniper rifle, for when I need to snipe stuff, get rid of 'em fast. Or the infinite R-launcher I guess.

Basically a magnum, shotgun and sniper rifle/R-launcher cover up most if not all types of encounters. Close-up, far away, general, and "wide" (referring to a lot of enemies coming towards you at once = shotgun).

Absolutely spot on, the perfect load out. I've got the maxed out PSG1 that i sometimes break out, but if i can't be bothered with accuracy i take out the RL haha

That's basically the same load out I have, except I use the Lightning Hawk. The Handcannon is too much gun for me, I'm not man enough to hold it while firing without falling over. It depends on my mood but I usually take the s75 and either the M3 or the Hydra. But the RL is a must.

I can't imagine ever leaving home without S&WM500, it's possibly my favourite gun of all time, not least because of how much effort it took to up it's performance!

Well for me I use for M92F, M37, and Sig 556. Or P8, Jail Breaker, MP5, and M29 for my STARS run. Sometimes use the Mini Gun on Bosses.

If I could, I would marry S&W M500. Totally agree with Stu!

I use a machinegun so I can set up melee attacks, I love them too much.

I gave Chris and Sheva both Shotguns, Machineguns, Rifles and a Rocket Launcher. The types of the weapons differ with the characters. Chris had a Hydra, AK-74, Dragunov SVD and the Rocket Launcher. Sheva had a M3, H&K MP5, H&K PSG-1 and a Rocket Launcher.
