Yeah, which is why it's only a spinoff... I honestly don't count any of these side games to be part of the main series, good or not. In fact, I see Dino Crisis (original) as more fitting to the Biohazard series than the likes of Gaiden or Survivor.

True, but hey Gaiden served me well then i was on a road or at the boring place.

Luckily Deadly Silence will now fill that void. :)

Or possibly even an Outbreak for the PSP! Here's Hoping!!

I know...I hope they really do it though...it would be possible AND reasonable...cuz of the wireless online gameplay, and not to mention that Outbreak can be a better handheld product...as it is a Side story true to the RE legacy...

Actually, Gaiden is the only RE game that does not count towards the storyline.

Gun Survivor 1 is mentioned at the begining of Zero, so automatically became canon, whilst GS2 is Claires dream after Code Veronica, and GS4: DA is set before RE4 and tells the tale of Umbrellas gradual downfall, and the story of the agency that both Leon, Ark and the guy in the RE5 trailer work for.

EDIT:

I forgot to add, i love the GS games, i think they are an excellent spin off, with amazing storylines.

Nowhere does it say Leon works for the agency from that game. Leon works for the secret service or a special branch of it. The guy in the RE5 trailer is not even known at this point so how in the world do you come up with the assumption that he (Chris) works for any agency.

BTW what happens in GS2, how is it Claire's dream, is that the arcade game or whatever they did.

Leon and Ark know each other, Leon and Bruce wear exactly the same unfiform and happen to both work for the government in some form of anti-umbrella unit, the guy in the trailer also happens to be wearing almost exactly what Leon and Bruce wear.

The general assumption is that they all work in the same group, or used to, or have worked with eachother in the past.

As for assumptions, you cannot have a go at me and then claim the guy in the trailer is Chris when nothing has ever been said on who the MC is...Consider that the guy in the trailer may die, get kidnapped or just get scrapped?

As for GS2, it is just a cheap arcade game, a cash in, but it was declared to be a dream at the end, etc, etc. Either way, with the Nemesis, and certain locations appearing in it, it has to be set after Code Veronica, and after she has met with the remainder STARS members...Or, at least, someone who could tell her about Nemesis.

Until something is said in one of the main series RE games, I won't believe it. Yes some of the stuff in the games have become cannon but its still just outside stories, much like Outbreak.

As you dont accept that, then you have to disregard:

1. T-103 Tyrants being mass produced
2. T-103 Tyrants being created using Beta Hetereo Non-serotonin
3. Lickers being evolved Zombies
4. The intro of Resident Evil Zero

Outbreak and Gun Survivor fit perfectly within the structure of the main games, with very few contradictions (If i remember rightly, there are 2).
It is insane to think that just because they have poor gameplay, poor graphics, bad acting, that people refuse to accept that as a main game title.

Resident Evil 3 is a spin off title, but nobody throws that game away.

I'm not disregarding the plots of those games, they can exsist just fine. I just don't think using them as an explination to things in the main games is not valid at this time. Leon could be working for anyone, if he was working for that organiztion wouldn't they just come out and say it. If there is going to be a tie in it might as well be a direct tie in like the beginning of RE0.

It is true that it is only a theory that they all happen to work together...The rest is true though (The GS games do tie in with the main games).

But you have to admit...Bruce and Leon are wearing exactly the same unfiorm, and the guy in the RE5 trailer is wearing a slightly greener version of what they are wearing.

And Ark directly links himself to Leon...
