Though I like the rail shooters I think Outbreak is the best except I haven't played file #2 is it good?

I would have to say HELL YEAH!!
In addition to getting new and improved scenarios (such as the RPD from RE2), it boasts a bigger collection than File # 1, if I am correct. It also has a training scenario, if you dont have a good grasp on the controls.
If you have data of File # 1 on your memory card, you can pop in File # 2 and transfer any unlocked items (charecters, coustumes, concept art, etc...) from File # 1 to File # 2 and vice versa.
Also, items in the collection cost a lot less. Say in File # 1 a coustume cost 30,000. In File # 2 it costs 3,000. Buy it, then transfer data, and you'll have it unlocked in both games, saving you 27,000 pts.

Damn, the way that you (and maybe other members) make File #2 out to be makes me wonder why they never made a third outbreak, thanks I'll go pick it up soon then.

I would say i like outbreak the best. But then again, Darkside chronicles was really fun to just relax and play. I also LOVED how they made Claire in that game. I loved how she was so fired up and got shit done when needed. Plus, she was really hot. :D I loved that Cut scene in "Lost in nightmares" when she was bending over to type on the computer. I dont think i need to really explain more than that.

This isn't a contest... More like a rape scenario... Outbreak Pwns all except Gaiden... Outbreak and Gaiden are on equal terms... I love Gaiden's Difficulty and how It was done by a Developing studio that was fairly new to this kind of stuff... but since it is not listed... I will take Outbreak F#2 for 1000

I honestly never understood why Outbreak is so well loved. The PAL version of 1 was gimped which didn't help me in the slightest (no online play for those who didn't know), and by the time the second one arrived - the old slow plodding gameplay thing just never sat well with me online without practise. It's an experience I'm happier having by myself at first, but one that Outbreak punished you on as the scenarios are scripted around better experience with other players online rather than attempting them properly with frustrating AI. So I felt trapped that I couldn't even enjoy them offline and had little interest in wanting to play them online other than the game forcing me to if I couldn't learn the scenarios offline first. Not a way to make me love a game.

I say all this and yet if they made another I know I'd buy and play it anyway. :p
