Outbreak was released at a time when online gaming was at the beginning, unfortunately I also never got the chance to play it online and yes it's not nearly as exciting in offline mode....but with today's psn/xbl an HD remake would be fantastic...

Unfortunately even though it's highly demanded by the fans I don't think it will be successful...fixed camera angles and classic controls won't be tolerated by most of the gamers and reviewers today. Capcom said they want to reach the modern warfare gamers and you can't sell a classic game to people who whine about the shooting mechanics in RE5.

But hey maybe we'll see outbreak on psn someday, it might be the exact same game like the PS2 versions with updated psn online features, but hey that's all we want, right?

I think it would sell pretty damn well, I mean the the Trailers for CVX and RE4 HD helped bring in a lot of buyers. If it was marketed with an epic trailer like most of Capcoms upcoming releases have been lately, I would see a lot of people getting into it, especially all thats going on in RE lately. We would have veteran players, people who have always loved RE who never got a chance to play OB, and people who are brand new to the series who want to get their hand on the series' roots.

BTW, does anybody know if CVX HD sold as much as RE4 HD, or which did better? Beccause CVX is a lesser known RE (for how good it is) and if it did nearly as well as 4, that right there is enough of a chance OB would at least make some money on the PSN/XBL market.

I'm not sure about that...RE4 sold well mainly because it's THE RESIDENT EVIL 4, which sold well on every platform...but I somehow doubt that CVX sold nearly as well.. People saw the old graphics and the classic controls and the reviews weren't that great ( Of course I know it is a great game :) ) If capcom would update the graphics and probably add the control schemes from RE4/5 it might actually had a chance...but oh wait I guess that's what ORC is supposed to be... :<

I think people would be willing to overlook the cameras for the online play which can be fun, if anything they may want to add optional voice chat for the COD addicts.
