I got to thinking lately that we have an even lower chance of OB being ported because of ORC. Capcom wants you to buy that, if they were to release an online capable Outbreak on PSN/ XBL or what not, they would lose money on ORC. I can understand RE4 and CVX being ported because they aren't online games.

Not to sound like a dope but its possible once the hype for the game dies down there could be a chance.

Uh, it'll probably be the opposite. I don't think they'll have much more faith in spin-off online multiplayer games if ORC fails.

Say what you'd like against the movement, but why shouldn't fans be able to speak their mind? They want a game that had depth and a grounded atmosphere to return, instead of typical and overly generic TPS games like ORC. I'm with them. Besides, since when did Capcom not want to cash in on some free money? Are these fans willing to spend millions of dollars on an already released product really that much of a nuisance? They should be catered to imho. While it may be too early to tell how ORC will ultimately turn out, it's safe to say it bares nor resemblance to Outbreak and I too would love to play it again.

To all the people whining about Outbreak support, you guys are the problem, not Outbreak fans. Capcom has shown it listens to it's fans many times. Fan demand is what got MML3 even started. Yes it ultimately got canned, but, it was the fans never shutting up about it that even got it to have a 'chance' in the first place despite the last Legends game coming out way back in the ps1 days. So 'four years' since OB means nothing.

Fan demand is what brought about MvC3 and MvC2 came out back in the Dreamcast days. Fan Demand got Phoenix Wright into UMvC3. Fan Demand got RE to go back to it's horror roots with Revelations and LiN etc.

Fan Demand got RE4 HD.

Fan Demand has a lot of swing with Capcom.

Telling people "Hey, 'I' don't care about your game and am tired of hearing about it, so, give it up already, it's not happening" is the only true 'problem'. Yeah, you want people to shut up about it because 'you' don't care about the game or like it. But, what does that have to do with anything? If you don't like it, ignore it, let the people who DO like it have their little corner of hope.

Even if Outbreak NEVER gets ported, revived etc., why should I stop hoping and dreaming? I loved the game, it's my favorite RE to date. That's my opinion. And regardless of whether it ever happens or not, I will always dream and hope that it somehow comes back so I can play it again. What exactly is wrong with that? How does it affect your life in the slightest if myself and a bunch of others want Outbreak back?

If you don't care about Outbreak, don't read the OB topics or posts. It's that simple. Just because 'you' don't care about the game or series doesn't mean you should tell other people to 'give it up'.

Sitting here and being quiet about it certainly isn't going to tell capcom there's a demand for Outbreak. It already has a steep road for it even with the support it has. So let people continue to ask for it and dream for it. Who cares? If you don't like it, don't read the topics pertaining to it.

Thank you and Good Night.

Yeah but Mega Man Legends, MvC, Phoenix Wright, and RE4 have more fans than RE: Outbreak could possibly dream of having. That's just how it is, unfortunately. They all made more money too. I'm just saying, Capcom probably won't re-release a game that would cause them to lose more money than they already have.

I think an outbreak revival could work if its done right. I think the sales for file 2 went cold because people were essentialy paying for an expansion pack that should have come with the original game. If they were to put all of it into one package it could work out. The online system could be more accessible to players on psn or xbox live. As for the fan support...why does it bother you guys so much ? It isn't hurting anybody and if it can bring back a game that a good number of people like what's it to you ?

Hello everyone. For those of you who do not know me, I am Zombie_Professor, a senior member of the Support Outbreak campaign. NateWolf and I are administrators of our Support Outbreak blog. I have been posting on the Biohaze forum for a few months now, but recently I decided to switch from the SupportOutbreak.com thread to this thread.

First off, I want to give a big thumbs up to Yama and the entire Biohaze crew who organized Outbreak matches on the KDDI Japanese Biohazard Outbreak server. The Biohaze Outbreak Revival project gave Outbreak fans a great place to gather and set up times to play online together. It was fantastic to see such dedicated fans continuing to enjoy the series even though the SNAP server had closed down.

But it was extremely disappointing when the KDDI server was shut down on June 30th 2011. The horror and excitement players experienced while playing Outbreak online came to an abrupt end. Many players came to the conclusion that Resident Evil Outbreak was finally dead.

But our Support Outbreak campaign challenges that conclusion. Instead of giving up, we are urging all the fans of the Outbreak series to come together and voice their support for the series.

The total number of Support Outbreak members is growing daily. Currently we have over 700 supporters on our Capcom-Unity forum (http://www.capcom-unity.com/resident_evil/go/thread/view/7391/18679115/Resident_Evil_Outbreak_Discussion&sort_order=ASC)

We also have over 8400 signatures on our Support Outbreak petition. The petition is still going strong and we are collecting more signatures every day. Once we reach our goal of 10,000 signatures we will be sending the petition to Capcom headquarters. (http://www.petitiononline.com/042690/petition.html)

I also have some extra information for all of you diehard Outbreak supporters:

- Our Support Outbreak website continues to bring Outbreak fans the latest news and updates about our campaign from our "blog." Support Outbreak avatars are also still available for download from our "Support Graphics" section. (http://www.supportoutbreak.webs.com/)

- A few months ago, in the "Ask Capcom" section of the Capcom-Unity forums, a head Capcom administrator listed the Resident Evil Outbreak series as one of the most popular fan requested series. (http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/20724009/Ask_Capcom_-_FAQ__Ustream_Archive&post_num=5#494442833)

- Our campaign is scheduled to be featured in a three page article in the December 2011 edition of Resident Evil Zone's gamer magazine "Evil-Mag." Our members are proud to have Germany's largest Resident Evil fansite supporting us. (Check out our Support Outbreak Blog for more details: http://outbreakgallery.webatu.com/blog.html)

I look forward to sharing some more news with you guys soon!
