Hello everyone.
I wanted to let you all know about the upcoming Comic-Con Resident Evil day presenting by Capcom (which is this coming Friday). Capcom has posted on their wall on facebook asking RE fans to post their questions that will be answered at Comic-Con Resident Evil Q&A Session.

Additionally, for those who visit the official Support Outbreak blog, it has been updated to require registration to comment in order to cut out spam.

For all the information regarding the above things, please look at my last two posts on the following page:
http://www.capcom-unity.com/resident_ev ... on?pg=2043

I look forward to Capcom's big announcement on Resident Evil day at Comic-Con.

Soooooo...not really Support Outbreak events really, are they? One's a Capcom event (where questions will be screened much like they were at E3) and the other is you changing posting privileges on a website.

haha, keep plugging away though!

Yes, because pestering the hell out of Capcom will get you what you want.
No wonder you guys have gotten nowhere. "Hey maybe if we get them really annoyed at us, they'll do what we want!!!". This isn't Bizzaro World. FFVII has way more dedicated fans and they never got a remake, no matter how much they've bothered S/E about it. What makes you think you'll fare better?

And hoping that every single event, presser, or random words that comes out of a Capcom employee's mouth is going to bring you Outbreak news is just inflicting torture on yourself.
"We're announcing something RE related at E3!"
"OUTBREAK!?! I bet it's Outbreak!"
"We're announcing a new game at CC!"
"OUTBREAK!?! I bet it's Outbreak!"
"We're painting the office today, we're choosing a very bold, and exciting color."
"OUTBREAK!?! I bet it's Outbreak!"
"Whoever used the office restroom last forgot to flush. There's something really nasty in there..."
"OUTBREAK!?! I bet it's Outbreak!"

Everyone goes about things differently. Here at Biohaze, prior to Support Outbreak, we were one of the only fan sites to dedicate space and time to the series. Through community play dates, member lists and unique discussion we loved our Outbreak. After it was taken out of North America we immediately changed focus and continued to support instant ways of playing and enjoying the side series. This was the only large movement within the community, or at least the first. While we were continuing in one direction, Support Outbreak was going in another. Both supported the immediate and long term livelihood of the series. With this I'd like to say you have our blessing, whether it succeeds or not. Your community gets flack from a few, but at the end of the day all you want are excellent online titles released and who could argue with that.

I think the whole problem is that you (Outbreak fans in general...omg he's generalizing) are unwilling to accept the fact that Outbreak online is dead. It's not coming back, and no amount of crying, whining, bitching, moaning, groaning, threatening, rage quitting, petitioning or anything else is going to affect that. I understand the whole thing, really I do, but just because I'd (and others) would like a REmake of re2, we realize that it's just not going to happen. Unlike you (again Outbreak fans) we (the majority, there are a few acorns out there) can move along and deal with it.

Stu (God knows) just likes to bring the heat, he puts it out there and if you don't like it then your out of luck. I'm sure he isn't trying to go out of his way to be rude about it, it's just his internet turrets.

I thought Biohaze was a friendly place where I could speak freely without being mistreated. Are you suggesting I should take my leave?

Not at all, but there comes a time that you just have to stop beating a dead horse...because it's been flattened into the ground and no amount of beating is going to hurt it anymore. There are plenty of other things that can be discussed (as seen by the vast variety of forums and topics) without dredging Outbreak up every other day.

As an old fan of Outbreak and a former online player, I have to say that I loved the game. I still have a special place for it. It was genuinely fun and awesome for its time. It really was the last of the classic style of horror Resident Evil used to dish out.

But it's been almost 4 years. Four years. That's a long time in game years.

You have to let the dream die. Your so-called support isn't helping bring it back; it's only a bunch of people circle-jerking with nostalgic memories of days long gone, waving it in Capcom's face, asking if they can have their happy place back. Capcom's already made it clear that they've let go of Outbreak and they're moving on to bigger things. It didn't make money back then, it probably won't make money now.

For all the good things Outbreak had, there are tons of flaws that are pretty outdated now. I'd rather play a game that's new and polished than a game that's old and has served its purpose past its due date.

tl;dr (because the above may not have made sense since i'm super tired)
It's not gonna happen.

Any of you guys buying Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City?
I am looking forward to that game, it looks like a lot of fun. I am going to buy it on PS3.
Since this is going off subject, I made a new topic about it in its proper section here:
