Economy fucked? Not in the game sales sense. How many copies did cod sell? Games are selling millions twat face. Did I say it only really works online was a fact? No. I didn't. Smart arse. That's MY opinion.

I didn't say it would continue to sell well - in fact i clearly stated it's unlikely to reach sales targets. Keep up.

So saying this topic will be bumped when ORC reaches a million isn't insinuating it will sell more? Huh?

Yes, THIS climate. If ORC sales are rubbish as result of the economy then why aren't other games struggling just as much? Are you THICK?
How many studios do you see being closed every month or so? Not thick, just aware of the bigger picture than you are suddenly.

And again, i certainly didn't say anything about sales being rubbish or of anything being a result of the economy - it was you who brought the climate up, wasn't it?[/quote]

Studios closing or not, it's sales are a HUGE disappointment for one reason - It is a BAD game. Critics were the final nail in the coffin for ORC.

Excellent example to use. You missed the news this week then the Call Of Duty: MW sales are slowing down then did you?

Again, not in the game sales sense - yet every few months a new video game studio closes.

Christ i know what i said  That insinuates you think a million is selling well. Is that right?

Done well to be half way to selling well in about three weeks then, well done ORC!

I love Outbreak! Keep up the good work, everyone. :)

Yes, it was completely different depending who you were playing with. Outbreak simply doesn't work without other people playing. I don't think the mass gamers will ever get sick of the usual capture the flag/ cops and robbers routine online games but maybe someday we'll get another game close to OB.

Won't see a million? Will this thread be getting bumped again when it does?

Yes, yes it will.
Well, i'd hate to disappoint.

Apologies for being late though - here's a bump for it selling TWO million.

And another apology, seems i got it wrong. It has ALREADY hit it's forecasted sales target. So i apologise unreservedly to Capcom!

Read it and weep, like it or not - Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City...IS A FINANCIAL SUCCESS.

With plenty of tweaks, moderately well.

I thought you said "twats" then and not "tweaks".

It'd sell fine if marketed correctly, the only necessary tweaks being purely visual and not mechanical. Rendering at a higher resolution with no loading times.

Yeah, I'd have to agree, with the resolution brought up, you'd likely not need to do much else to have it looking "XBLA" quality.

I do really doubt this is ever going to happen, but if it were to, it would need to be $15, with matchmaking and I really doubt they'd change or do a single other thing, provided it made it that far.

Look at RE4 "HD" -- it was a miracle that it was ported one more time, and they still did the least work they could have in porting that game, barely any effort there, it looks worse than many other versions of the game and doesn't even have the consideration of allowing a control scheme like Resident Evil 5 in any way. "Hi, year 2008, we use the left joystick to aim now..."
aaaand that game sold at least 5-6 million copies before all that.

I would love to have Outbreak be ported to a new console, but I think it's much more likely that Capcom would open the servers for play again, before they'd port it.

just as a, "we love you, our loyal fans." sort of thing.

If you are the type of person to think of Capcom doing that. Either way, being ported or having the servers turned back on, it would be an act of generosity on their part and not a move that will particularly benefit them financially.
