Can i see people playing ORC in ten years?

Erm...yes actually. Youre rose-tinted specs might be blurring your vision here, but there are people that are enjoying it. And i certainly reckon there'd be more playing it in ten years than the millions and millions (haha) who were modding their PS2s.

Funny how you hail half a million sales as an achievement in one paragraph, then declare as much as 600k as "measly" in the next though. Blinkered. Don't matter how many consoles it's across, the figures still talk.

Yeah, because in ten years time people will still be playing a game that has NO distinction from other online shooters, has shit reviews, poor sales... why would people play this when they have games like L4D? It has been a FLOP.

File 2 deserved to flop, and that's coming from a fan. They should've just made outbreak into 1 game as opposed to splitting them into "episodes" but yes, I will hail half a million sales BACK THEN plus the 1.5 million for file one... when network gaming basically didn't exsist. The climate has made a u-turn and now most games incorporate online modes.... surely ORC should be a "cash cow" as someone said earlier? I still doubt it will reach 1 million. It has nothing going for it, no buzz, nobody is talking.. it is surrounded by negative reviews and dropping down the charts like a brick. It has ZERO staying power.

Outbreak would combine 2 major factors. It would take the original old school RE style which MADE the series a success in the first place and introduce it to the more so than ever relevant online gaming community.

ORC failed. Time for something new.

ORC has no depth and lacks anything that makes it stand out in its given genre. Outbreak on the other hand does. Perfect? Maybe not. But unique complimented by a deep and rewarding engine? Absolutely.

I've had just about enough of this. Outbreak finished on 1.45 million. On ONE console. A game that only really worked online. Orc has sold around 600-700k on TWO consoles. Another game that only really works online. But this is the online age. And a game based around multiplayer in the multi player age should not be getting this wrong. It's made just as many mistakes as outbreak. But outbreak came out at the start of the online gaming on your console. Where as now online game playing through consoles is massive. It can't even reach outbreaks sales. Fact is it never will. And that's bad when this game has been made on the era where playing games on Consoles online is massive. I've never seen anyone talk so much shit as you stu. If you don't like it then get the fuck out of OUR topic. Orc will finish on around a million or just under after being released on TWO massive consoles. Outbreak released on one. Plus playing games on consoles wasn't big then. It is now. Shame on Orc. And shame on YOU. Now get the fuck outta here. Hugs and kisses Phi Phi xoxo

The sales figures at the moment suggest otherwise - you know, the sales figures that are impressive for your beloved franchise, but not for the one you're seemingly campaigning against?

Will they hit Capcom's targets? Unlikely. For the timebeing though, it hasn't failed.

That's odd. I've put about 12 hours in so far - only 10 minutes of that was spent online. More opinions stressed as facts.

The sales figures are POOR. Keep trying to justify it  an online shooter with the RE brand selling the way THAT has is absolutely pathetic, and so are you if you believe it's somehow going to sell ANOTHER half million. It has a whole lot of negativity surrounding it.. 1 star reviews, some places in the UK aren't even stocking it anymore.

In THIS climate, it's sales are rubbish. After this upcoming DLC it will be left to die. You know it, I know it, Capcom knows it. I am not going to bullshit you here, but I actually preordered the game and gave it the benefit of the doubt. The day I recieved it, I got rid of it.

It tried fitting in the mold set by Left 4 Dead, and in turn performed VERY poorly (critically and sales wise)

Time for a new direction regarding RE spin offs....

Nobody is bothered about YOU though. YOU are in the minority. The game got an OVERWHELMINGLY bad reception.. yet you still feel your small minority are right and the rest of us are wrong.

Where did i "justify" anything? To say it's sold well so far isn't justification - it's just a fact.

And erm...in "this" climate? You mean the climate where the global economy is struggling? It's sales are rubbish at a time when the economy is fucked? Think you're inadvertedly mounting a defence yourself there. Well played!

Where have i said otherwise?

I'm merely offering a counter-comment to a statement passed off as fact. This person says it only really works online - i'm saying it's not true.

You don't get the concept of a discussion board, do you?

It hasn't sold well. You're deluding yourself that it has and will continue to do so. You are ridiculous.

Yes, THIS climate. If ORC sales are rubbish as result of the economy then why aren't other games struggling just as much? Are you THICK?

Heard it all now. "ORC isnt flopping really its just the economy!!11"

Nah, people read the reviews and avoided like the plague.

"Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City tries to use its horror pedigree as a sales-driving wrapper for a game that literally brings nothing to the franchise it claims to represent. It's a disappointing tactical shooter, and with the mishandled use of the Resident Evil brand, it's a shameful attempt to gouge series fans with empty promises and wasted opportunities."

I never said it could only be played online. But the game was built for online. It's even been stated in interviews. It's mainly an online game that's why we made most of the achievements for online. I couldn't give a shit if YOU'VE only put in 10 mins. The game was mainly built for online.

PhiPhi made a statement about ORC being made for online. Are you saying it's more of a single player game than a multiplayer one? Really? She never once said you couldn't play it single player she just said it was MAINLY a multiplayer one. Fool.

I didn't say it would continue to sell well - in fact i clearly stated it's unlikely to reach sales targets. Keep up.

How many studios do you see being closed every month or so? Not thick, just aware of the bigger picture than you are suddenly.

And again, i certainly didn't say anything about sales being rubbish or of anything being a result of the economy - it was you who brought the climate up, wasn't it?
