Honestly its not like they couldn't just go forward with a third entry in the series, especially now that online play is pretty much a standard thing. i think the idea is still novel that you have to work together to survive with complete strangers in a pure survival horror setting.

Love that game but i still would love to see capcom take another attempt at co op survival horror. its still a pretty novel concept and really only the resident evil franchise has explored it. I think with online play so much more accessible and so greatly improved from when outbreak first launched, the third times the charm. i have no doubt about it.
