Well they did have the Chicago Type Writer but the assault rifle would've been nice.

Yeah the TMP and the Chicago Typewriter are enough for me. It kinda bugged me that the Typewriter did so much damage actually, so I kinda prefer the TMP. But usually I use shotgun or handgun.

I think the game was just fine as it was. That being said, I would kinda would have liked to see an AK47 or AKM in the game, though this may be due to personal bias, I think they'd certainly have a place in the game.

Of course, as Sam mentioned, an AK would be REALLY off-balance. Maybe they should have put one in instead of the Thompson as an unlockable.

I just think that Assault Rifles are better off in games like R6.

It doesnt need to be overpowerd they coulda put in some Custom Assault Rifle or something.

Any assault rifle would just be a typewriter with a different skin that takes ammo.

There are plenty of guns, but assault rifles should definitely not have been in the game.

The Killer 7 is a .45 handgun.

Now, Assault Rifles like the M16 and (especially) the AK-47 are much more accurate, have further range, and are generally more lethal.

Now think of something stronger than a Killer 7 and fires full auto and could potentially have a scope. Great for a game like Ghost Recon but it would take away from the gameplay in RE4, and besides, there are plenty of weapons in the game already.

Its not that Capcom could have screwed up and unbalanced an assault rifle, but the actual gun itself is unbalanced in terms of the gameplay for RE4.
