No one has to sign the petition at all. If you don't like him or the idea, just don't and that is all. It's not to be taken so seriously guys haha... But, I still think it's a neat idea, especially since it was a fan that petition originated from.
I can imagine that voice acting, or acting in general (unless you're Johnny Depp..), does not offer the most rewarding pay and is a tough business to live by. So, who knows, it may help jumpstart, in my opinion, a deserving guy's career

He's not the greatest voice actor who ever lived, but, he's far from bad. He's pretty decent. He's been in quite a bit of different projects.

And as much as anyone may like the walking dead, the show isn't full of A+ list acting or actors. A halfway decent actor can run well on a well written script and a good director. Wheras a great actor can falter on a shitty script and crappy director.

Needless to say Douglas wouldn't do any worse on the show than anyone else currently on it.

How can you possibly reach that conclusion? An average voice actor being dropped into one of the highest rated (both in terms of viewing figures and critical reception) on TV currently and you know he'd be able to live up to it based on some corny Resident Evil scripts?

Uhm no. Unlike you, I'm familiar with his work outside of RE. He's had many guest star roles on tv before.

And high viewers and critical reception doesn't equate to A++ list actors or acting.

You hampered on about an 'average' voice actor being thrown into a critically acclaimed show and not being able to live up to said show's quality all based on him being an 'average' voice actor which is based on your knowledge of him as wesker and nothing more apparently. Your original comment was about his 'average' acting not being welcome on the show in the first place. So you easily imply you think the level of acting on that show is quite stellar that someone of his level would be sorely out of place and ruin it.

Thus I mentioned critically acclaimed doesn't equal A++ Acting for an 'average' voice actor to need to worry about. The Critical acclaim come from the direction and writing. And as mentioned, with a good script and proper direction, even an 'average' actor can shine bright. All which lead back to the original point. D.C. Douglas guest starring on an episode of the show is unlikely to hamper or hurt the show in any way shape or form.

I honestly don't care whether he gets on the show or not. Nor do I think he's some amazing actor myself. I just disagree with your comments about him not going anywhere near the show so he doesn't hurt it with his 'average' acting :P Because I think the comments are pretty baseless.

Hence the ranting.

By that logic, when I jumped in and told Newsbot that you actually fought with many of the mods before etc., obviously I must've been in full support of you and cared about you to say it. Had nothing to do with simply correcting an inaccurate statement, nope, nothing at all :P

I don't think Douglas is anything special. I don't care whether he's on the show or not. I just find your comments about him not going anywhere near the show as if he'd ruin it somehow to be rather baseless.
