Lol well yeah, but like I said in my opinion it's still has it's aggressive members. For some reason, I didn't get a taste for THIA, but I have to admit, we have some really smart and involved members on this site...but I still feel like people can get away with wayyyy too much sometimes. :P

*Edit* and EpicREfan, I didn't really view it as an attack exactly- I'm just stating that calling someone something or offending them isn't a good way to get a leg up on a conversation. lol

Another problem (I might get a little flak for this), is that THIA is dying and so a lot of the members there are coming here, and many of the ones who were members of both are now instead focusing all of their energy on here instead of just on THIA. Unfortunately many of them are having problems integrating here since THIA was always virtually an anarchy. Members often used massive amounts of profanity, harassed each other, and the staff even created entire sub-forums for flaming members they didn't like (such as Saunders).

Agent: I just think it's Yama's way of making everyone part of the site and its decisions, something rarely seen elsewhere. I too agree it may seem odd when the ban should have been set the instant this happened but this helps make things more transparent IMO.

Oh I don't disapprove in the slightest! It just seems odd to have an admin try to get our opinion when Yama knows exactly who the guy is and that he tried to report Biohaze. Honestly, if I were to get banned I would never want everyone to know, or to try and "vote" me back in because it would never really be the same, you know? You wouldn't have the same relationship with everyone like you used to. Like you're on an invisible shit list that no one thinks about unless you fuck up again. That's just me!

That's a good point, but I don't think it would necessarily have to be like that. If it were only say Yama and/or Mr. Rod who wanted to ban you, and everyone else (or most other people) sided with you, how would that change anything? If anything it would reflect that your fellow members and friends will stand by you and give you another chance?

If he plans to hold more "referendums" in the future, perhaps he should create a sub-forum to the "Biohaze" forum for future referendums?

Not being funny, but who exactly are you? You've been in the RE community all of 5 minutes. You have no way to judge whether THIA is "dying" or not. It seems bizarre to me that you joined a site, got banned not long after, come to another site and do exactly the same shit and wind people up, then talk as if you've been around on THIA and in the RE community in general for years. You've been around a couple of months and think you have the right to call THIA an "anarchy". There again, so is all of Europe isn't it? Don't insult the site just because we don't have the patience of a Saint that Biohaze does and tolerate the utter bollocks that you post. Also, how do you know about any sub-forums THIA has because you never had access to any? Unless you're a previous troll or believed something a previous troll has said. Quit bitching about a site that banned you and deal with it.

Pretty sure it's a one-off thing. Things like this shouldn't happen, we just needed to make this betrayal ("melodramatic mode" on) publicly available.

And it's ok, just call me Rod. ;)

Actually I was a member of Biohaze long before I joined THIA. And yes, I was banned on THIA about a month after joining, a ban that I feel is unjust and even the moderator who banned me said was supposed to be temporary, but he decided to make it permanent because he thought I was a "right-wing nutjob conspiracy theorist". And I know about the sub-forum because everyone has access to it (even guests), you just have to know the URL, which Pedro has publicly linked to in this thread.

Also, since when does it matter when you joined a particular forum? That sounds more like elitism than anything else. Hell Pedro was a member of the RE community since 2003 and of this forum since 2007, yet clearly he isn't very well respected. Also since I'm new, does that make my views and opinions any less valid than yours?
