Hard to judge the CGI in the film since i've seen it all in the film's trailers. As a film though, it's probably just as boring as Transformers for the large part though. It's your typical Emerich movie anyway, if you've liked his other stuff then this will be right up your street!

Well I've enjoyed all his past films. Just a bit wary about to much CGI.

Ill still see it anyways since I'm an Emmerich fan.

Trust me, don't. It's a shit film and I regret going to watch it. Went on for far too long unnecessarily and bored me to shit. I found Transformers much more interesting.

It's definitely not a shit film, but at two hours forty it's just too self indulgent. I'm quite sure they could've chopped a good 40/50 minutes from it. It does have it's moments i think.

The last films i watched,The terminator series,From 1 to four. I mainly watched it with a friend so i could explain how time travel can inadvertently change the future.
Which shows up verry well in the terminator series.
Spoiler:
As terminator 1's future the terminators are from a military project most likely,But terminator 1's events cause the technology to end up in cyberdyne's hands,Who proceed to bring it about sooner. Thus leading to terminator 2's events, and blowing up cyberdyne causes the technological development to be transfered back to the military project,Albeit a different one. Which furthermore,Leads to,Through further alteration by the T-X,John connor and the T-800. To terminator salvation. Cant wait to see what salvation leads to honestly.

I watched The Invasion with Nicola Kidman and Daniel Craig last night.

Meh. I've seen worse. Couldn't shake the feeling that it was all too similar to Invasion Of The Body Snatchers but on a much shitter level...then right at the end the credits said it was based on Body Snatchers. So yeah. Still not a patch on Sutherland's Invasion Of The Body Snatchers though.

Titanic. James Cameron is one of the greatest film makers of all time IMO. Such a diverse range of movies and genres.

I havent watched a film in awhile im still on the annual journey through Lost. im currently in Season4. this week S5 comes out on Blu-ray so i have new extras and new commentaries to look forward to, YAY!!!!

the next film i watch will probably be later this month when Avatar releases. i would like to hit the IMAX for that one but its not worth it to me to drive an hour one way. i would end being on the road for the same amount of time im in the theater. so ill just call out from work probably the tuesday after it comes out so i can hit my local theater. that way i only pay 5 bucks, my local theater has 5 dollar ticket prices all day tuesdays. ill drive 5 minutes to my local theater pay 5 bucks and enjoy Cameron's latest masterpiece.

A little bit off topic, but I just read an awesome book in a single sitting.

It was called The Simple Gift, a short novel (150 pages or so) written entirely in poems which were paced like like many short mini chapters.

It was the story of a boy who ran away from home, and made friends with an old homeless guy, who's daughter had died years earlier, then after a while he meets a girl a few years older than him, and they fall for each other. Very good, and uplifting. It was a great read. And I liked the poetic style of presentation.

And on the topic of films. Band of Brothers, bought the DVD after seeing a rerun last week, I'm gonna watch the entire series through again.

Star Trek it was good but not great could and should have been better simon pegg does the worst scottish accent ever and carl urban was underused as mccoy, the few attempts at humour felt forced like kirk's big hands after an allergic reaction to some medication or chekov saying wulcan when trying to say vulcan, it would have been funnier in the older trek movies which handled humour better.

The bad guy might as well not have been it because we learn very little about him, we know why he is doing what he is doing but his reason for doing what he is doing is described in 4 lines of dialogue then forgotten about and was it just me or was the warp core missing from the strangely designed engine room.

Hopefully the second one will be better if i choose to watch it.

Transfomers 2 Revenge Of The Fallen not as good as the first could have done without most of the college scenes
Hard Candy
