Just watched Game Change, the HBO film based on the book of the same name. Love or hate Palin, this was an entertaining movie of a behind-the-scenes take of the Cain/Palin campaign with some laughs and a different perspective. Julianne Moore plays Palin and Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt, the campaign adviser who's job was nothing short of an uphill battle.

On Sunday I saw John Carter at my local theater. It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Just saw Eden Lake, which is one of these free movies on youtube. Most of these are quite atrocious however if you dig deep enough you may find a few good ones. Eden Lake happens to be pretty good in which it's one of these suspenseful/murder films that stirs up some emotion in you. In this case, utter hatred for the antagonists. That hate keeps you locked-in hoping justice is served and the badguys get what they deserve.

The Hunger Games. I heard that Ireland got the least amount of censorship. With the camera floating away, or shaking loads for nearly every death, I pity the other countries. The camera was cutting like in an 80s horror film.

I saw that last night with my date and it was terrible...just terrible. The camera was naturally shaky and the acting was TERRIBLE. My date said there were plot-holes and the Death Contests (or whatever) had ZERO thrills or tension involved. This is why I hate going to the movies...usually ends u being a waste of money... humph.

And they didn't explain a lot. I went with friends, half of whom never read the books. After the film they were asking "What's with the dogs?" "What the hell is with the random relationship?" "Why didn't we find out about her dad until halfway through the film?" "Why was Peeta with the careers?" "Where do the bodies go?" etc etc.
