Having fun anyone? We're bracing for a total of 25-30cm and some cities have already declared states of emergency. It's nothing compared to the 90cm Boston and NY are getting. Crazy.

Not looking forward to work tomorrow.. bad weather or not, my dept will be open.

That sucks man. Personally I love the snow, but only when I have no where to go. It's always an inconvinence to drive in, not to mention a safety risk.

Be careful out there man.

Wish I was back on the east coast to see it. Wonder if its as bad as the one in '95? I think it was? Snow was like 4ft high. We opened our back door and the snow just collapsed inside the doorway. We had to dig a literal tunnel to the street to get outside.

Was the funnest memory of being a kid.

I know it would be far less enjoyable as an adult but I still highly love and appreciate snow and like large amounts of it.

Edit: Oh pish. Its only 1-2 ft of snow. Just read about it. Thats nothing. 1-2 ft of snow was a typical winter in NJ/NY when I was younger. In recent years it got warmer and it barely snowed much. This is just a normal 80's-90's winter snowstorm.

Really wish I was there now to enjoy it :(

I vaguely remember that i was like 3 at the time. It's not as bad as that yet in CT where i live but it's looking like we might get 3 feet of snow, which im not too keen on. Love the snow but i really dont feel like going out to take care of it D:

I hope it cancels school on monday...

Reading about the '96 blizzard and apparently it was 2-3 ft statewide. I think it was higher for us because of our backyard being a tight square so it piled up higher and blocked the entire doorway. So that probably jaded my memory of how high it was.

Reading about it now it does seem like this one will be close to that one, not as bad but still close to it. So i retract my previous incorrect statements due to ignorance on my behalf.

Still retain my view that I'd like to experience it though.

I really don't like snow at all. I think it should snow on Christmas and that's it. Everyone enjoys a white Christmas.

I live in Pennsylvania. Good ol Amish country. The weather here has been really bizarre. There will be about 6 inches of snow on the ground at like 20 degrees, then it'll be in the 50's for a few days, then it'll snow again and go back to 20's, rinse, and repeat.

Snow is one of the worst things ever created. I hate snow with a passion.

Snow is only fun when you are a kid. I remember the blizzard of 96. I had several days off from school so I was okay with it. Now, its not as fun. Its more of a hassle and inconvenience.

How bad did ya get hit? I was in London, ON for school, ended up having to get the train back to Brantford because the roads were just total crap. We were up to our asses shoveling the next day.

About 30 cm I think, but it could also be the wind itself and the temp didn't drop for that day. Things weren't rosy on Friday, even affect public transportation. Took a while to get the road cleared Sat alongside the sidewalks. Walking to work was a workout by itself since Markham isn't known for speedy service especially in the business areas.

The rain washed most of it away Monday but there's still some today, and it's snowing again.

I remember snow stuck on the ground a few times. Only once or twice in about 17 years. Yay for coastal Ireland!
