The point was that working for a company who fires people after they should be having success is not a company an intellegent person would work for.

So only idiots would work their and would be shocked at their loss of a job.

Look at it this way. How many of them do you think said this when they were fired?

"Well I just worked years on this game and it's going to make a lot of money and be a great sucess. Otherwise I wouldn't release it. But I'm definately going to lose my job because I just made a piece of crap game."

Again - who has said they were shocked? You're calling these people idiots and say "and they wonder why they've had to make several layoffs" when the evidence at hand would suggest that no, they've actually been wondering nothing of the sort.

If you actually read what has been said, "Our current project needs do not align with our current staffing levels", then that would suggest they'd have known about these cuts BEFORE they were actually made. They wouldn't make O:RC not knowing what the next project was likely to be would they?

That statement simply means they have too many staff for a job the size of which they're working on next. What's the alternative? 26 staff sat in the staff room for the foreseeable future collecting a wage for making coffee and playing poker amongst themselves?

What matters most to Capcom is that O:RC was a financial success. That, and the fact they've said they'll be looking to take those staff on board would suggest you're barking up the wrong tree.

Am i saying their statement is 100% truthful? Nope. But it's all we have to go on for the timebeing so anything else is half-assed speculation.

I'm kind of satisfied to see that this got the bad rep it deserves but it's the money that really matters whether gamers love it or hate it. If Capcom brings back Slant Six to make Operation Rockfort Island or even have the audacity to do Operation Arklay Forest, I'm not even going to bother.
