I just watched the 4th episode and I am blown away yet again. This is a series going strong and right when you think things MIGHT get slow: BAM something good actually happens. Am I the only one that completely appreciates the humanity within the characters? I mean, their reactions (and acting) astounds me.
Spoiler:
The scene of Amy's death had me in tears and her sisters reaction. One day before her birthday, Man...come on...come on.
Gosh I like this series. SO WHO WANTS TO BUY ME THE DVD FOR XMAS?! :D

I know that part was so sad. I love this show. I did not expect the camp to get attacked so quickly.

Yes I love that the characters are actually people you can attach to because they feel so real. Great acting too. Pretty into this show :D

Tonight is the season finale of The Walking Dead. Going to watch and find out why the virus was released. This is going to be good.

Anyone want to wrap up in the spoiler tag what the Dr said to Rick on his way out? I'm gonna take a guess at Sarah Tancredi being pregnant?

Really good series, i thought the pacing was absolutely spot on throughout, but that the ending fizzled out a little. Would've enjoyed a nice tasty cliffhanger to be honest. In the end it felt too much like season one of Prison Break's ending.

I honestly believe that he told her
Spoiler:
That Rick's wife was pregnant. Even though the series has rarely corresponded with the comics, I believe this is one of the cases that does.

Am I the only one who thought the finale was a bit boring? It felt like it kind of dragged on and on and that the Doctor was far more rational than he should have been. Love the series, didn't like the finale. :(

Love the show but I find it kind of silly how twice they have been near heavy military weapons and haven't even tried to use them when it clearly shows them sitting there with a case full of ammo.

Anyone know where i can watch the full episodes online? Turns out AMC was only a preview that lasted for a month on Dish network, and my parents dont want to buy it.

Finally sat down and watched the first season. Having been an era filled with over the top zombie nonsense, most of which I don't enjoy, it's nice to see the theme return to it's roots. It's easy to appreciate the great amount of detail that went into the set design and other assets. The story is similar to most older themes, starting with the early stages of an outbreak. It's pacing is perfect and doesn't rely only on over the top action to keep it interesting. However, when such scenes occur their executed rather well. The later segments of the season paint a bigger picture, similar to how many older Romero movies end. However it's nice to know this series will expand on these themes instead of only making clichéd references. What truly makes The Walking Dead enjoyable for me is the human element at hand. Rick, the main protagonist, often offers both his respect and general interest in the walkers. Viewing the walkers in a different light is something that I've only seen from this series, opposed to other films in which their merely targets to disperse of. The urban chaos and necessary survival strategies are a focal point, yet they remain grounded and never go over the top. Despite the survivors brain hiccups, which are to be expected, the show isn't as cliché as it may seem. Similarities to other media may exist, though it's executed in a more reserved manner, one that I respect for not losing touch with it's semi-realistic atmosphere. The series could have started with a little more build up as far as showing normality before hand, though it's unique take more than makes up for it.

Also, ties to both Biohazard and the Outbreak series made me smile. They were all done so well too. If only the Biohazard movies were anything like this. I may as well just call this the Outbreak TV series.
