The reason I make this is because I have tried the game, I just for some reason couldn't get into it for lack of a better explanation. As much hype that is surrounding the release of Resistance 3, should I go and purchase the others and give them another shot?

The idea struck me when I went out tonight and got Battle: Los Angeles on blu-ray and it has a demo ad for Resistance 3, plus an ad for the Resistance Double Pack coming this summer.

Discussion anyone??

When I first got my PS3, Resistance was one of the games I wanted to play and when I finally played it I was very disappointed. The game felt very generic and I got bored with the game relatively quickly and just loss in interest in the series because it. Maybe the second one was better, I don't know, nor do I care, after my experience with the first one I really have no incentive to play the other games. If Resistance 3 demo wasn't really good, or whatever game in the series you played, and if you want to go back and play the earlier games I strongly suggest you not do that. I'm giving Insomniac the benefit of the doubt that the games got better as the series progressed, so if you weren't impressed by the new games I highly doubt you will like the older games.

Perhaps it was because it was a launch title, I'm not sure, but I thoroughly enjoyed RFOM. Both the campaign and multiplayer were very addicting. R2 improved the formula in many ways, but didn't quite hold my interest as long seeing as other titles were already out. I'm excited for the third however.

Just a couple things to add here, I was doing some checking around, the dual pack releases on July 5th, for $39.99. And if someone really wanted to get in on the PS Move for like dirt cheap, they have the Resistance 3 Doomsday Edition, releasing at GameStop on September 6th. With that you get the game, the Move controls, the PS Eye and the PS Move Sharpshooter for $149.99...what a deal, I totally paid to much lol.

Just my two cents on the series if you enjoy it thats awesome, but for me meh, I have other games to look forward to.

What appeals to me about Resistance 3 is that they seem to be drifting away from the CoD mentality of the second game. Fall of Man was much better than the sequel.
