Hmm.. I don't see why people hate this game so much! I mean its like a brand new Resident Evil 4 with actual zombies!! Even the way the character aims his weapon brings back that resident evil 4 feeling. Not only that but having the wii mote and nunchuck to play with makes me feel more free. Also me being an ps3, wii, ps2 owner.. and a microsoft hater i get to have this masterpiece on a system i refuse to buy. Now i have never even touched the xbox version but Im sure its not all that different except the camera usage. As i remember this game got very bad ratings. well I give it a 5/5 !! Thank you capcom for bringing this beautiful game to the wii.

The wii version also sucks because it focuses on gunplay. Guns sucked in DR and weren't anywhere near as fun as picking up a servbot head and dressing up all the zombies with them. Or just smacking them around with a golf club, bat, katana, battle axes, etc.

My inventory was typically stocked with katanas. The effect is even more gruesome in the sequel since the cuts are body-specific and not the pre-set damaged models from the original.

Whoah Foxy, I had no idea the zombie count was much more in the 360 version!! Well I kinda figured cause the 360 can handle more but still if you are a wii owner and wanna play an toned down version of a great game then playing DR for the wii isnt THAT bad. But now i feel like i missed out haha.. the mall felt somewhat "less populated" than it should have been throughout the whole game. I see what you mean about the gunplay to.

There are literally thousands of zombies at a time in the maintenance tunnels to, that's the most populated part of the mall in the 360 version for some reason.

There are other major differences though. cvxfreak described it as a parody of RE4... and apparently Cletus was the merchant.

Dead Rising for the Wii was kind of weird to me o-o I remember buying guns from Otis if i saved him... I kept asking myself while playing, "Why am I paying a man for guns when he doesnt want anywhere near them?" I lol each time I think about it

This game SUCKED!! I played most of DR on 360, that was a good game, this thing was an abomination. It was repetitive, boring, and it removed most every element that made DR interesting in the first place.
