I really don't understand this logic. The more cut scenes the more story, this does not mean there will be any less gameplay. To go along with more cut scenes, you'll be receiving a hell of a lot more gameplay to boot. It's already been said that this Biohazard is the equivalent of a couple or more Biohazard 5's in one. Not once was it said that the percentage of gameplay to cinematics was drastically modified, only that we'll be receiving more of both.

Stu and I agree on something.

I'm all for a good plot, but there's a point where I may as well be watching a movie, plus after RE4 and RE5 it's not like I have very high hopes of the plot in this game being interesting.

Oh well. Just gotta hope it'll be entertaining.

As Yama said, this isn't Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Pretentious. Gameplay is not being sacrificed for story. Between 3 and 4 hours sound perfect for a game with four campaigns which each clock in at about 60-70% of BH5.

I usually take these things with a grain of salt.
Kobayashi stated that DMC4 would have more weapons combined than any Devil May Cry game.(Which it didn't.)

Either way the amount of cutscenes aren't bad, Considering the amount of campaigns that are playable.
I enjoyed the RE5 cutscenes. If it's anything like RE5 I know i'll enjoy RE6.

Looking at it from a different perspective though - Capcom tell us "You're getting a game with x-amount of gametime". This would sound fantastic obviously. But then it's tempered with the idea of a large chunk of that being FMV.

Plus of course, you're stating it from the viewpoint that more story is a good thing - when Resident Evil generally continues to prove that it really isn't such a good thing.

Did the amount of cutscenes in BH4 and BH5 off-set their length at all in relation to gameplay?

It entirely depends, most Capcom games are looked down at when it comes to the story.
Devil May Cry shares the same issue. While the story is the least interesting for most people.
I enjoy it a lot and like to dig into it.

The same thing applies for RE, Even though the RE4 story didn't feel remotely relevant to me. :/

What relevance does the development of those games have? I imagine i can find a post from you somewhere that'll likely tell me the development teams are vastly different, so what relevance would they possibly have?

I just asked if the amount of cutscenes in them interfered with the gameplay to you, just curious is all.

Exactly. When Capcom says "each campaign will be roughly 70% of the length of RE5," I have a strong feeling that includes gameplay plus cut scenes. If you skip the cut scenes on a repeat playthrough, I'll bet it's more around 50% of RE5.

That's still a decent amount of game time, especially when you consider the early games only took a few hours to beat, even on the first playthrough.
