I don't see Capcom having a problem reaching this sales number. ORC managed to get 2 million copies sold with poor reviews and DLC content that had the 2nd half of the game

Well, it seems that the demo for RE5 was downloaded almost 2 million times in the first few days it was available.
I think up to this date, RE5 has sold around 6 million copies (I could be wrong). But that would be Steam, 360 and PS3 altogether, up to now.

It seems pretty feasible...

RE4 sold around 7 million to date... and that's with... six platforms... and 4-5 more years than RE5.

Yeah, manhunter, that's a good point, they probably are basing it off of that somewhat.

They don't have my preorder yet though... That's probably not going to happen until after E3, where they reveal quite a bit more about the game.
Not that I think I might not get the game, but I'm not going to preorder until they reveal more editions of the game, because right now they only have the regular retail SKU it sounds like.
And anyway-- I don't think they'll reveal more editions of the game until after they've shared more about the game (at a time like after E3).

after they reveal their $60, $80, $100/$120 equivalents, I'm sure they'll see so many more preorders, even in the regular retail SKU, as people see what their options are for purchasing the game.

Obviously I can't wait to get the expensive one, so I can get some temporary tattoos and a Resident Evil drink coozie...

I'd like a steelbook. 7 million I would not be surprised If it is a bit more. The Walking Dead second series is on terrestrial Chanel five from Monday the 14th May in the U.K and it is sponsored by Resident Evil 6. Never seen other titles sponsor a TV show before.

Im not really sure how 6 will do. The fanbase is so split up nowadays thanks to 4 and 5 changing things up. This is how I see it

- Hardcore Fans
The hardcore fans imo are split into two groups: Those who buy any RE game no matter what, and those who quit after 4 or 5

- Moderate Fans
Those who like RE and want to give it a shot, but if it looks terrible or too unfamiliar, they wont get it

- The Noobs
OTS camera angles? Leon!? That buff guy from RE5!? COUNT ME IN!!! But one thing bothers me... who's this Sherry person?

Yeah, I'd certainly like a nice, but compact case, aluminum or something.

A great booklet and DVD would be fantastic

Well I would like a steelbook too, but I would also like it to have an edition with resident evil damnation on a hybrid disc with resident evil 6.
