Would you like the same village setting most of RE4 and RE5 had? Or would you like a more claustrophobic environment, have your character trapped in a building you can't seem to find a way out of, in the lines of RE0, RE1, and RE2?

I would actually like something along the lines of CV: X. CV: X was the perfect combination of the two. You had the claustrophobic environments(the residence, the Palace, the Replica of the Spencer Mansion) and you also had the big locations like Alaska, most of the prison, etc.

You could say RE3 was the same, but the reason why I don't mention RE3 is because RE3 didn't really have you take any time in these places, you never had to go back to the R.P.D.(unless you forgot something) and you could never go back to the hospital because it obviously exploded.

In CV: X you actually had to backtrack to these places, and, while I know backtrack can get intolerable, in CV: X the setting was bigger, there was a wider variety of rooms, corridors, exterior places, etc. that you didn't feel so overwhelmed like you felt in RE1, for example.

I simply thought CV: X was perfect in the aspect, so I hope RE6 takes note this time. What are your thoughts?

I love love love the areas that are open, but not TOO open as to be overwhelming- such as the beginning stages of RE:4 and the streets of RE:3. I wouldn't mind it being in another city, but like the corridors in Revelations and RE mansion just weren't my cup of tea. There was SO much to explore (in my opinion) and it quickly got annoying because I didn't want to miss a thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the game is designed for Sonys new 3D-video OLED glasses (named as Personal 3D-Viewer HMZ-T1) http://www.sonyinsider.com/2011/01/07/hands-on-with-sonys-3d-head-mounted-oled-glasses/
It's supposed to be hit the market end of November.

As the they say "It's going to be the most gruesome game yet" so it WILL be gruesome and scary, if you play ANY Biohazard game with video glasses, specially upcoming Biohazard 6 which will be scary (or at least I hope so).

I would like the new B6 to be more like B1 Remake: scary mansions with hardly any bullet or weapon with slowly moving zombies and real survival feeling.

I would like a village type setting agian. But, what I like is that RE4/5 had different styles than the other. RE4 had greyscale, gothic like feel to it, and 5 had a Day of the Dead, war type feel.

I would like to see it in a snow type setting personally, (I know REV is doing it). Or hell an american city in the new school RE gameplay would be awesome. They should be able to come up with a whole new type of setting that gives it a unique spin and flavor.

I suppose Snow would be good fresh splatter marks with the blood. dismembered bodies part covered in a dusting frozen. An urban setting as when I saw Predator 2 with Danny Glover that was frightening more so because it was more real than a rainforest.

A few closed in spaces to add to the clostophobia and paranoia. Dark and wet creepy.

I suppose that will depend how close they want to along the lines of tried and tested OR diversify. Guess we are in the hands of the developers .

Urban environment or bust for me, we're long overdue for something akin to the classic Raccoon City.

Have to agree with this myself, it's time to move back to the city. Desert's and Islands and forest towns in Spain are all good for a bit. But, give me a city where you're fighting for your life in cramped corridors and small rooms in buildings and I'll be in heaven.

I love re4 and always will, but there are only so many places in the game where you feel confined and desperate. A lot of people didn't like the castle and island areas, but that's where most of the smaller walkways and areas where you could have problems. Re5 is just blah, the only area that there was any tension and had any challenge was the Factory portion of the game. Smaller corridors with only a few ways to evade the enemy.

Large city with lots of buildings to explore and small corridors, with zombies and the big bad evil corporation. Make the game with all of that and you got a winner.

I must say I agree aswell. Like in CV:X, we could have a big city as an outdoor environment and have the confined spaces of the buildings as indoor claustrophobic environments. Best of both worlds.

As for RE4, I agree that the Castle was indeed the one with the most resemblances to the old-fashioned Mansion setting, not only because of the spaces but also because of the enemies. In the Island I felt like I was fighting against normal people (like a COD extravaganza) whereas in the Castle, the monks scared the living crap out of me. So, I don't think the two should be compared. I'm still not sure which ones scared me the most, the ganados from the beggining of the game (with the ultra-spooky soundtrack they never used later in the game) or the monks.

Urban environment. start out in the city as the outbreak begins, slowly watching the city descend into chaos and ruin as you progress.
