Now that the dust has completely settled and the game is long been out and over with. Who has actually gone back to replay it and enjoyed it all over again like many of us have done with previous titles time and time again?

Personally, I beat the game once, did Raid mode then a few weeks ago I started Hell Mode finally and did a chapter or two and haven't touched it since. Nothing 'wrong' with the game. Just completely lacks any true interest for me in terms of replay value sadly.

What about anyone else? Even if you've played it more than once, do you see yourself coming back to this again in the future and with the same level of love and enjoyment as you would other titles you've replayed?

And as fun as everyone liked Raid Mode, are any of you actually 'still' playing it or plan to play it again in the future? I just don't see it having the replay value of Mercs personally.

I haven't touched Raid Mode since ORC, but I did replay it in order to understand it a little bit more in full and paid more attention to the cut-scenes. It left a sour taste in my mouth because I am not a fan of "prequels." I think it's a solid game, but I am sure you know the reason that I play it anyway. :D

*Edit*
I very much wish this was on the PS3, as I play Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape every so often. I just think it would be a more enjoyable experience and to jump off of ObZen, I also like to play with lower level people instead of doing an insane speed run to the checkpoint.

I tried to replay this game the other day. I tried to do a fresh story run. And I just... couldn't. I quit after the beach sequence. I just don't like the pacing of the game. Jill is also incredibly unlikable as a lead, and the enemies/gameplay is dull. I can play a few rounds of Raid mode before I get bored since I like playing as Chris and Keith. But its usually pretty short lived. I don't even really play the game online because it pretty much consists of people using over powered weapons and killing enemies in 1-2 shots. Its more fun helping lower level people who actually need more than 5 bullets to kill something.

On a side note, I can't believe the turn of events. I thought Revelations would have me replaying it for years, and I'd junk ORC after a week. But I look forward to playing ORC and I don't even think about Revelations. In fact even the USS campaign in ORC is more fun than Revelations campaign for me.

I haven't gone back to Revelations yet. I have a very busy schedule with school and work, and I already have a stack of NEW games I haven't played yet. Mass Effect 3, SSX, Batman Arkham City DLC, and lollipop chainsaw and Spec Ops: The Line. (the last two I'm getting on release).

So yeah I've definately had the "itch" to play it again, but I just don't have the time. It's funny, becuase I actually like it MORE than Resident Evil 5. lol

I just don't have time.

Also, the fact that the story is almost incomprehensible (even for a Resident Evil game) makes it difficult to want to see the chain of events again.
Every line O'Brien and Landsdale have is a platitude of some kind or another. They effectively say nothing throughout the entire campaign while they are the main source of the story events.

I do like this game, and I do want to play through it again. Certain things about it could have been a lot better I think though.

And as much as people seem to hate co-op campaigns in Resident Evil, I, for one love it. Seeing as RAID mode is so short lived and relatively boring (doesn't compare to a round of Mercenaries) I don't play that too often anymore. If I could play the campaign with the people I care about, I'd love that. That's one of the reasons I love RE5 so much.

If Mercenaries 3D and this game were mashed together, and each gave a little, it would make for a phenomenal game.

If the game had online co-op, I would easily have replayed it again as I have 2 friends who got the game and aren't really great at it and thus will likely never beat it solo. Having me go through it with them would have changed that and their willingness to play it more often as well.

Sadly they removed the co-op feature. So I don't see this game getting much replay from me other than maybe somewhere down the line when I'm extremely bored and looking for something I haven't played in a long time.

Played it through twice, second time because I was traveling, I've played RAID mode a grand total of three times, first time I got bored and the latter two because I was asked to by a friend and since he was Level 49 I was just kind of, there, not doing anything.

It's it by far the dullest entry in the series, everyone sounds like they're phoning in their lines and the story is just doesn't make a lick of sense as far as RE standards go.

It'll be staying in the collection cabinet for the foreseeable future.

I played it through so many times in all modes and did everything on Raid mode too... Needless to say that I havent turned my 3ds on in ages after that.

I still play RE5 repeatedly and I have just replayed the Umbrella era games and I do plan to replay this eventually after I replay RE4 and then back to RE5 and finally onto RE6. I'm not really looking forward to replaying this but one thing's for damn sure, this was a much better appetizer to RE6 than ORC ever was. Here's my rundown of the 2012 RE meal:

Revelations = the salad
ORC = the crappy appetizer
RE6 = the main course
Retribution = the bitter dessert
Damnation = the sweet dessert

I've spent a lot of time with Revelations and I enjoy it a lot. My main gripe is its lack of connection to the main mythology but it is a good story in it's own right. The story is easy to follow after a while, though admittedly it is quite complex and deep compared to past Biohazard games. Also we suffer from the inevitable localisation issues and lose some of the plot in translation.
One example of this is the GPC seemingly offering their help to create the t-Abyss virus which goes against everything they stand for and what we learned about them in Bio 5. However, through translations we now know that the GPC offered the assistance of Tricell's research branch to develop the virus - which is how they know about the t-Abyss and then order Jessica to retrieve a sample for them.

But I would say I've completed the game about six or seven times now and still enjoy it. Better than Code Veronica as a main series game for me.

The game itself is fine in terms of pacing and atmosphere. The episodic structure works well for the hand held format though obviously it wouldn't be so effective on a home console. I think the story is people's main gripe and lack of past characters.

I wonder how much more love the game would get if it were exactly the same, except Barry was a playable main character and Wesker made a cameo working behind the scenes?

A lot I imagine.
