The map of Revelations is really weird! Is there some way of using it as 2D?
Why the hell it can't be rotated 320°, anyways seems like it is the games only big minus.

Wonder if there going to be official guide for this game, there should be clear maps. To me the ship is kinda hard to explore when I dont have clear picture of the ships places.
Like older games there was 2D maps and it was easy to see are you upper or lower level of some big room/hall, but in Revelations its really difficult so sometimes I have no idea where to go.

Is the lower screens minimap zoomable?

I was wondering how you work the map, also. I kept going to the wrong places and getting lost. Now that I've played the game a few times I have memorized most of the ship, but still get lost sometimes.

You can zoom in with X, but it can still be confusing. Especially because the character orb doesn't show you which way you're facing.

Yeah thats one of the major problems, like in the big hall with the huge clock: I so many times runned wrong level or direction.

I know this sounds stupid but I cant play for a while because my finger is infected! It hurts so bad (maybe I got the T-Virus?)
Its like the whole finger is burning...

Yeah I wish it showed you which way you're facing.

Only your finger hurts? Usually both of my hands start to ache after hours of play. Actually, from continuously playing the game for hours straight I think my hands have gotten used to holding the 3DS. They don't hurt as much anymore lol

The finger is just fine now! T-virus is gone! (it was just really badly infected cuticle) :)

My fingers ALWAYS gets numb when playing any handheld consoles, it takes only 5min. Slowly they get numb so i just have to have little break every 5-10mins, its really furstrating and secondly my hands sweats so bad :D sometimes it feels like my 3DS is slipping away :D

Other than the Genesis scanner being Metroid Prime-like, the 3D map has certainly adapted the same style as well.

I never really used the map system in MP that often; I had to pretty much memorize placement of rooms when backtracking. As for Revelations, I only use the 2D map that is readily available to look at as you explore. When it comes to backtracking to previously locked rooms or getting back to items I havent picked up, I simply have to make a mental note. A lot of them.
