Uhm, completely different considering the whole point of that was that the characters 'were' lying. That was actually part of the plot, for them to lie to interrogation. It's not lazy writing when the scene that 'never happened' is shown as a 'lie' given to cops while the 'real' deal is shown later on to the audience. That works 'with' the plot and has purpose. A con artist lying to cops about what actually happened is a believable plot to help confuse the audience.

And O'Brian and Raymond were never lying at all to Jill, Chris and Parker about the resurrection of Veltro at all were they? They were not lying to them that Veltro had taken over the ship at all? And the whole thing wasn't an elaborate set up? Silly me.

Did Raymond infect them under orders from O'Brian, or is that Raymond just showing his "traitor" colors?

He was still with the FBC, so perhaps he was given orders to make sure there were no "living" crew or researchers left?

I doubt very much O'Brian would have anything to do with letting Raymond go about killing any innocents. It would go against everything he stood for for one and he already ordered Raymond to only 'mislead' Jill and Parker and not harm them.

The problem I have with this scene is that this whole ploy was to put heat on Morgan and find out he is corrupt. Any survivors on the Queen Zenobia would automatically testify against Morgan because he tried to kill them all. Why on earth then would Raymond kill them?

Instead we supposedly have him eliminating any survivors before Jill and Parker arrive, then taking them through this whole charade until eventually they find the lab and Jill finds a researcher's diary explaining that Morgan was behind the whole thing?

And yeah he's also a triple agent working for an unknown party to get a sample of the t-Abyss Virus. So why not waste a few of those along the way too?

Yep this one takes it.

Its like Ada getting the Las Plagas sample and injecting it to a random stranger. Not gonna happen.

Er batman, did you even read the rest of my post? Its one thing to have someone in interrogation telling a false story and the audience seeing that false story. Its another to see a scene that 'never happened' with the 'lying' coming from the director, not the characters themselves.

There is no scene showing Raymond 'telling' that lie and us seeing him do it through his lie. The scene is just flat out 'there' and expected to be taken at blunt face value and then later on 'it never happened'. That's no where near the same as how usual suspects presented its lie.

I find Revleations story poorly wrote. It is like the show Lost, it throws all these twists into the story that could make sense for that moment, then a dozen major twists later you reach the end and want answers and explanations because nothing is making sense anymore and you get nothing but a final twist that makes it even worse.
