It could work. If you've ever watched 'Nikita' on the CW, it has a similiar concept in a way. "Division" that trains the asassains and all is under "Foresight". Foresight is basically a core group of members of the U.S. Government that work together in secrecy to control things in the world and use Division as the means to this end.

The head of Division goes behind Foresights back though and tries to make a power play against them.


That may be similiar to what happened with Umbrella and the GPC. Umbrella may be on board with the GPC but they obviously were the largest and most powerful of all the Pharmecutical companies and would have a great amount of say. The other companies might be teaming up to make a power play against Umbrella. Sorta like how there's the U.S. Governement yet Foresight works in secrecy to them along with Division.

There's the GPC but there's a secret circle that works to oppose Umbrella and are trying to steal it's research and bring about it's downfall to enhance their own companies.

All of this needs to go in my editorial that I'm working on. Though I had the initial idea of the U.S. government being the biggest bastards in the series, I suspect that changed after Raccoon City when Umbrella (a key figure of the GPC at that point, I might add) cleverly shifted blame. But here's another thought, what if Umbrella were "instructed" by the GPC to do this?

I mean, it's the ideal way to demonise the U.S. government, generate public disapproval and in turn shift the balance of power to the corporations. Afterall, the government answer to the people, but who does the GPC answer to? No-one. Spencer even makes a point about this in his notebook, about the U.S. government being forced into an uncomfortable position. It even brought the president down.

Going on from that, I think these anti-Umbrella initiatives (e.g. Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team) were an attempt by the U.S. government to try and regain support. Makes them appear good in front of the public by openly going after Umbrella.

Chris, Jill, Parker, Bruce, etc. All of them are nothing but pawns being moved around on a chessboard by masterminds, a power game between the U.S. government and the GPC. Then you have other governments wanting a chip in the game, e.g. China using Fong Ling, etc. Problem is, the BSAA is now an international group with branches around the world.

Leon is a strange case, since he seems to work directly for the President - who seems like a genuinely nice bloke. Which is a problem for many, actually. We can't have this Josiah Bartlett type going on a personal crusade to leak the truth! Hence why he had to become the victim of a bioterror attack. He needed removing from the picture. Anyone on either side has much to gain from his death, certain figures in the U.S. government or the GPC themselves.

This certainly adds more doubt to the already-raging fire of whether there is just one rival company/opposing organization/アンブレラと対立する組織.

But what would GPC possibly gain by causing global outbreak(RE6)?

What do they have to gain from manufacturing B.O.W.s?

The pursuit of profit? That's the best I can come up with at this point.

More money? More power? Also do we EVER saw any BOW's developed by them?

I doubt Umbrella was in on it. Spencer had his own plans and goals. Becoming a patsy for the GPC just to demonize the U.S. Government really doesn't make any semblance of sense considering Spencer's ultimate goal as well as the fact the U.S. Government didn't take any blame for the RC incident, it was all put on Umbrella.

You have some nice theories, but, I think you're going a bit too overboard and making it far more complicated and 'out there' than it needs to be just for the sake of it. The simplest theory is usually the best and likely correct one.



It's not 100% certain that they caused it. It could actually be 'terrorists'. Or if it is them, it could be basically a way of creating a worldwide panic about bio-terrorism that the entire world can get behind with all of it's governments showing failure in preventing them. That's where the GPC can step in and say "Well hey, maybe if the GPC wasn't under so much red tape and control by governments, maybe we could have stopped this and prevented it." and whatnot and gain them freedom to do whatever they want.

Think of it sorta like 9/11 where the attack unified american's into giving the government more power and homeland security etc. was created as a result which had more power and authority to do whatever it wanted in the name of 'anti-terrorism'. Worldwide disaster that the entire world can get behind and unify together and give more power to the GPC to prevent it in the future? Definitely spells profit for their agenda whatever that may be.

The Hunter II, Sweeper and Jabberwock S3 are produced by them.

Unless they are actually produced by individual pharmaceutical companies.

No as far as I know they are produced by Wesker's 3rd Organization.
