Capcom's Corporate Officer and Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson has taken to the company's Unity board to confirm that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be receiving a number of fixes soon: "There are a couple patches in QA and certification as we speak. Once they are through and live, we'll provide more details."

I've played ORC, I found it fun for the first two runs or so. Then it got samey, not to mention it crashed on me a few times and froze my PS3 outright. I also had many occasions where I was locked in limbo thanks to doors not triggering.

This is just an example of lazy developing these days, thanks to the ability to patch post release means that they can just rush out an unfinished product and still charge us full price for a game that isn't finished. It's an immense kick to the face and it's getting annoying, this stuff should be sorted long before the game is released.

I mean, where the hell were the QA testers before? I guess it's sort of nice that they're fixing it, but come on. This stuff shouldn't even have to come up in the first place.

They're a bit late.

Think I must've been one of the lucky ones. I played the game through to completion (of what was available at the time) and i didn't encounter the vast majority of the sort of bugs i see people talk about.

Far from a very good game, but i still really enjoyed the game in the end.

So they might as well not bother then?

I think it's good that they're actually making an effort for once. Just saying that it's overdue.

The game had an incredibly short sales span, from the looks of things. Should have had the patch ready when the game had experienced a majority of its sales.

Better late than never. Yeah, I don't understand what was up with the testers of this tbh - did they even test it out before release? Certainly doesn't look that way, haha.

Nonetheless I am still having a lot of fun with this game, can't help it. Multiplayer still manages to keep me amused, even though the bugs do piss me off, as they often get me killed. Especially the one where the Samurai edge has to reload when you quickdraw, even though the clip is full, and you end up reloading like an idiot as you qdraw on someone. :P

And here I thought the game didn't have any issues whatsoever.

As mentioned, better late than never. Hopefully they're able to fix most of the nonsense. But likely they'll just fix a few things like the sound bug and call it a day.

Take it from someone in the industry: the regulations are supposed to be strict, but RE is also a huge name.
